It's variable but overall I think it's getting better. I ordered mine in October, picking it up on Thursday which will be 8 months and 8 days

Once you get on the boat at Baltimore it becomes bearable. For me the wait between gate release and boat was the worst bit, of course having waited nearly 11 months by that point I was getting proficient at it... ;)
That time is now. My car leaves Baltimore on the 10/07/2016 of this month and arrives in Zeebrugge on the 20th. It looks like the same boat then goes onto Southampton a few days later. Do cars normally continue to Southampton on the same boat? i.e. roll off, underseal, roll on... or do they hang around in Zeebrugge until the next ship turns up?

Depending on exact schedule it will stay in Zeebrugge for about 2 weeks.
