Arrived in zeebrugge 28th april?

+3 weeks is my guess. Assuming you call your dealer when it's in Southampton and ask for it to be prioritised, tell them you're car-less and you need it etc.
21/05 Is my guess for pickup (But pickup date is up to you once its at dealers!)
cheers buddy! Yes the dealer knows I'm car less - he said he'd chase Southampton as soon as he knew it was there. I'll get Stacey to update me tomorrow. Fingers crossed it'll be within 2 weeks!:headbang:

I had a 15/11 build date and a VIN. They built it on the 11/1/16.
I claim the record for longest in possession of a disembodied VIN... :D
I might well take that record. Had my VIN since mid March and according to Vista my build starts next week but still no window sticker so I'm not holding my breath. Apparently all MY16s should be built by end of May so could still be another 3 weeks nearly of carless VIN.

You can have it. You're called Steve and you drive a Beemer so you're probably a great bloke ;)

Cheers, us Steves must stick together and regarding the BM I've decided to keep it as have been dismayed by the number of quality issues reported here with these Fords and it's a dream to drive still. If I can live with the pony car and don't have issues then I might sell it in a couple of years. Given that I might not get the stang until August and I don't want to fork out for better tyres it might spend most of the winter in my garage :frusty:

Me- I have my delivery date!! (Much excitement and general smileyness)! And I found a uk reseller where you can get me the White gear knob for my new mustang that you promised to get me for my birthday but didn't as you didn't want to order from the US.

Wife- What do you think to this new wallpaper for the kids bedroom?

God love 'em :)
My wife shows an interest when she thinks she should. She loves the car though.

Got my window sticker this morning with a date at the top, presumably the blend date although this isn't stated, of 19th May - I've had my VIN since 16th March !!

Congratulations, VIN limbo for a while, but still, you have a blend date!!!

Wondering now if this makes you one of the last s550s (my16) or first S550 (my17s)... Could be one lucky chap ;)

Thanks Steve, it's definitely a MY16 and although I ordered in December before Xmas it shows on Vista as a 30/12 order date so I suppose it sat on someone's desk whilst they partied. Anyway, looks like an August delivery although Vista shows 30/7 but not seen update yet. Btw thanks for the order process thread otherwise wouldn't have known about the window sticker site, doubt my dealer does either! At time of order I was given an estimate of September delivery so I guess things are improving slowly. Still nothing proactively from dealer but that won't come as a surprise, it must be a national policy with Ford. My wife has a new Cooper S on order and gets a video update weekly from the salesman, what a difference!
I hope Ford take note of our experiences and low option of their sales and after sales service and take serious steps to improve. Good luck with all your mods and enjoy the weekend.

looks like Jimboy2 suspicions were correct.

I'd previously been given a build date by dealership of 2nd June... Stacey has just given me the estimated build date of 5th July...

So either the dealership got it wrong, or ford are now putting back UK builds for domestic market...

Gutted to be pushed back a month so early in the process... but I know a lot of people have had to wait much longer... so I'll leave it at that! (for now)

It is pretty common, I initially had a Jan build, then Feb, then March and finally built in April. Several cars were ordered between December and Jan were built and delivered before mine even made it to production. Their scheduling system is crap tbo.

I'm with SSC and Jimboy2 here, althought I think I mentioned it in another thread, the 'Early june' builds, aren't actually early june, I just think that's when the MY17s actually start production, it'll be a provisional build date, but wont be for a month or so after :(

More chance to save up for the kW coil overs and the stainless works exhaust in that case ;)

@SCC and Manders Mustang thanks for the confirmation...

Despite knowing that all of the great advice on the forum is that the dates should not be relied upon... difficult not to focus on the first date given for build.... I can't imagine the frustration of some members who have been waiting a lifetime... I know it will be well worth the wait... just missing out on taking the car to a few meets in the meantime!

I was hoping to do NC500 run, but my car will prolly not be delivered until late july or even early august judging by the delays I seem to get. Would be nice if they would even give me a reason for it, but we know that will never happen.

Remember the post by Andy Barrett commenting on they will post reasons for delays on the forum, never happened or even mentioned by anyone from the official ford department.
