Hello everyone!

Finally after a long wait I will be picking up my stang this week.
What are some things I should look for upon delivery before signing the final paperwork. I have noticed that people have said to look out for alignment panels and stuff. Are there other things I should look for? Any owners out there please chime in and share what you looked for!

Thanks guys!

Make sure there is no scratches and stuff I guess.
It's a new car so anything wrong will be take care of by the dealer after delivery.

Panel alignment is the big one. Don't sign the paperwork till you're happy with it. That was my biggest mistake and now it's biting me in the ass as I'm mid claims process at a second dealer dealing with it now. They can promise all they want but if they don't take care of it ya may get screwed like I did.

Make sure the dealer doesn't put their stickers on it, make sure there are no paint chips, panel alignment should be perfect, test drive it to make sure it feels right. Take your time, do not rush it, it's your money, time to make them wait while you once, twice and thrice it over.

Make sure you get all your keys, including the metal keys within the keys. The spare or inflator in the trunk, as well as the funnel. The owners manual in it's "secret" compartment. Double check that you got everything you ordered. Check both doors, the hood and trunk to make sure they open and close easily without metal-to-metal binding. Absolutely take a drive & run it through the gears, checking the tranny. I get mine in 2 days!!

Just to be safe it wouldn't hurt to put it on a lift and check there as well. Good luck!

Check the mag wheels . My wife had curb scuffs on two of her mags on delivery.
And absolutely NO DEALER STICKER . If they want you to advertise , let them pay you .

What are mag wheels? Like the tires?

Sorry, must be a generation gap.
These days they call them aluminum wheels . Either way , check that they are not scuffed or damaged . Good luck trying to claim for this damage after you drive off the lot.

Me, I found a booger in the paint and hood wasn't straight. Took them a day and a half and then I picked it up and signed paperwork. They fixed the paint, looks great, look closely for a long time, don't let them distract you. They didn't get the hood right, but I figure if they can't get it right on their first try I might get lucky and figure it out on own.

It's a Quebec gap. I've worked with a few people from Saguenay and my ex and her whole family is from and lives in Baie-Comeau (talk about nice driving roads!). Every French Canadian I have ever met and talked about cars with says mag wheels instead of aluminum/alloy.

How many miles should you typically be seeing for a car right off of the carrier?
