Ask the dealer not to wash it. More scratches & swirls happen there because of the road grime that is not foamed off the car before washing. Do it yourself.

Also ask the dealer NOT to install the front license plate bracket unless you want a hole drilled into the plastic bumper. There is alternate methods of mounting a front license plate that doesn't require drilling into the bumper...

This ^^^ Nothing worse than a dealer putting their front plate on a car in an area that doesn't require front plates!

Does anyone know the laws on this, guessing all stats might be different? Mine came with the holes still plugged and the bracket in the trunk.

How many miles should you typically be seeing for a car right off of the carrier?
4 or 5 normally BUT Ford pulls cars randomly for drive tests at the factory. They include a document with the car saying that happened and how many miles. I've head its sometimes in the mid 40s.

Nice list. What would we look for under the car? And what are we looking for when testing the gears? Im getting an auto so Id have to use the paddles to shift gears. Anyone know what the best way to test gears is other than shifting? - What am I looking for when doing that?

Just make sure the transmission operate correctly when going through the gears without any anomalies. Some people have exhibited the infamous clunking sound while going from park to drive. There is a topic on this subject.

As far as spirited driving that will have to wait until break in. Remember you have a 5yr 60k mile powertrain warranty so you are covered.

Damage to the undercarriage or rocker panels, etc.

Lastly enjoy the car!

A few things to check or keep in mind...

1. Do a test drive on a bumpy road and listen for rattles, squeaks and squeals.
2. Make sure the tire preasure is correct.
3. Mak sure the lugs are torqued correctly, 150 ft/pnds not 100.
4. Open an close all doors, hood and trunk lid and check for binding.
5. Inspect pannel alignment.
6. Inspect the paint, particularly on the aluminum pieces (hood and front fenders).

Hello everyone!

Finally after a long wait I will be picking up my stang this week.
What are some things I should look for upon delivery before signing the final paperwork. I have noticed that people have said to look out for alignment panels and stuff. Are there other things I should look for? Any owners out there please chime in and share what you looked for!

Thanks guys!
Make sure it has the 5.0 badging on both fenders,if not refuse to accept the car.:D
