I heard there was a stop build in place that was lifted last Friday. Sounds like thing after picking up steam..
Not sure I can trust a SpursFan (jk)… But any information on what caused the "stop build"? My car is on "material hold" so that may explain for the '16s bottleneck. But still a mystery as to why '15s haven't shipped. Not completely buying into Ford is timing shipment after Track Tours.

Found this on a Facebook page (Ford Shelby GT350)....with no real explanation.
Well, this looks all kind of messed up. The blend date (build date) looks to be September 22nd, but all the pricing is off - Tech Pack $9,400, OTT Stripes $600, Destination...

Wow.

When I called FP today. I did inquire about 16's being built today. The did not confirm or deny that they where or where not. So I'm going to just believe that they are.

Hoping the ITLRUN has a creditable informant

Ha! No detail's where given on why there was a stop build my only speculation is they built the 15s and they are using the road show as a final QC point before releasing. Let the media drive, take the feedback, make any adjustments and catch any glitches...etc. I got a feeling they will start shipping very soon after the Sebring event wraps up.

You don’t want to know
Sorry, but that's not true. All the Track Tour GT350s are Pre-Production models. Shipping after Sebring will just be coincidental if it happens that way. There's something else going on...

I have to agree. Maybe it's something good???

But the info flow from the rep to the dealer has slowed considerably.

Maybe Ford is really concerned about all the people talking about body gaps, etc. and is redesigning and remaking forming tools to improve them. :headbonk:

Of course those are preproduction models, what does that have to do with shipping being coincidental? You think they would pass on the chance for all those laps and reviews to find final items that needs to be addressed in QC??

This is actually possible. At Woodward, when I mentioned possibly not being able to find a 2016, a FP engineer told me that getting a '17 wouldn't be the end of the world as there are always small improvements..and went on to mention panels gaps. So it's not like they don't know about it.

Who in their right mind would think a MY17 would be not as good as a MY16?
The MY17's IMO would be a better car than the MY16's as far as refinement and possibly more options.
