Forgive me if this has been discussed to death. I did a search but did not see an answer. Also did not see anything in the manual on this.

2017 GT premium/PP: Is there a way to have the car start up in sport+ mode rather than normal each time? Or a way to have it start in the most recent drive mode? It's a pain in the rear to change it everytime in the car. Oftentimes I don't even think about it until I've been driving for a while.

Thanks!

I'm sure they have it set that way as a safety feature so someone doesn't forget on a cold morning they had it set on Sport+ and run themselves into a tree. And to answer your question, no there as not a way by default means but there is a section here in the DIY section for AS Built Data modification and there might be a way to change it there to default to Sport+.

Thanks. That's kind of what I guessed after looking around a bit. Seems odd that it wouldn't default to the most recent setting. It could even be time based--defaults to most recent setting if the same day and then resets the next calendar day or something like that. Oh well, I guess I'll just make that part of my start up routine.

It's not hard. It's just one more thing to do. With all the customization available on these cars (I can change the dashlights to an infinite number of colors for chrissakes), just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Thanks for asking though!

Imagine;

You're a fighter pilot, on the deck of a Nimitz class carrier.

Your "plane" is pre-flighted on the deck, you start checking all your settings and switches. The Reds are out there, and you're going into air-combat to save 'Merica.

Temps and pressures; in the green.
Flying mode; Sport + engaged.
Tire pressures; all correct.

The flight deck director gives you a thumbs-up, which you return in reply.

Then.....

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!! as you're catapulted off the deck, into the clear blue sky, your air-search radar on, desperately sniffing for the Bears and Fox Trots you must stop. All of America depends on you, everything is on the line!!!

And you stop at 7-11 and get your coffee; Mission accomplished.

Sport+ doesn't take Traction control off, why would someone run into a tree lol

Driving Modes

SFLA Modes:

1. Sport - When I am driving alone without the wife. ;)
2. Normal - When I am driving with the wife. :(
3. Snow / Wet - When its raining in which case I am not driving my Stang.
4. Track - Well when its all out fun at the Track. :D

Here is what is listed in the owners manual. Not to hard flip a toggle switch and hit OK on your steering wheel. At least that is how it works on the PP model.

What does TC have to do with anything. They cars still get sideways with them turned on. It changes throttle responses which seems to be enough change for Mustang owners to wreck a car.

Hit the ok on the steering wheel?.. Bah! that's just admitting you want to do something stupid......let it time out....plausible deniability

Why would you street driving in sport mode anyway. I find normal mode very smooth and comfortable on the street.
Sport is too jerky.
