Messaging driving mode

Again sorry for inane questions.went thru manual and did a search,with nothing helping me.ok I'm driving the car about 5 minutes after I got going a text came while driving,which I chose to ignore.then I get a pop up on the screen noting that I have a new paired device,which I did 3 weeks ago.remember now I'm on a highway in Atlanta with lots of traffic,.i think it asked me about do I want driving mode on and then a choice of answers.at this point I stopped paying attention.now I can't figure out what it was asking,and why.im,hoping I didn't say I didn't want any calls while I'm driving,and that it was all about messaging.but don't know what driving mode meant.which I'm sure didn't mean the car itself.so if you all could calm down this 74 year old engineer,I'd really appreciate it.bob

I doubt you would find this in your car manual since this is a setting on your phone. If you have an iPhone, the option is located under the 'Do not disturb' settings.
