Are the pictures that Chris posted actually of Deep Impact Blue?
It usually looks purple to me but doesnt in those pics.
Real world any time I see DIB on Edges/focus etc I always see purple at distance but then blue up close. The one thing I don't like.
DIB does not look Purple except in very specific and rare lighting, it is clearly Blue and fairly closely matches the pictures that Chrisvr6 posted.

I have to disagree, low light/shade/cloudy day I see purple.

Every DIB car I've sen always looks blue to me, dark blue on overcast days and bright on sunny days.

This is purple and I'd love for Ford to bring out a purple for the S550.

I think this is subjective, my wife has a DIB 2013 Fusion which I see every day, and I very rarely see Purple in it (and I live in the Pacific NW which is cloudy/shaded most days of the year!). I am not saying you are wrong, because everyone's opinion of what is purple vs. dark blue, vs. others is slightly different, but I have not seen it as purple personally. I personally see more Purple in Kona Blue than Deep Impact (but even with that I prefer Kona Blue over Deep Impact), but that again is my opinion.

I dare someone to tell me those black PP wheels in this pic look anything better than dogsh!t

Yeah I'll be selling those ugly beasts and putting on some better chrome ones as soon as I get mine. Stupid that with the PP we have to get those dumb wheels.

Done. I love the black wheels, wouldn't have it any other way. Different strokes for different folks.

yeah, no idea why nowadays "Performance" translates into UGLY.

btw: once there was something like: more Show than go.

a car is NOT faster by putting black wheels on it, more power and better handling make it faster, no matter i you put Chrome or black wheels on there

I think that purplish tint in random lighting is badass! It adds character to the vehicle. Different shades of blue in different lighting? Yes please.

Can't wait for mine to get here!

That's specc'ed out the same as my order -- DIB GT Premium with 50th Anniversary. Looking at that makes me even more certain that I made the right choice. That corralled pony grill is fantastic!
Same here Jimmy.

Also, my 2013 GT/CS was DIB. Loved the color so much that I chose it for my 2015!

I think that color works well on a square-ish car like the challenger. But if it was up to me, I'd chose a much deeper, darker purple for the S-550.

To me it seems like black wheels are the "in" thing now. It's just like how my parents hate my taste in music and I will probably hate my kids taste in music. So in 20 years when all cars come with orange and green color changing disco wheels, I will probably say "Damn kids, why cant you just like black wheels like everybody else?"

Agreed, totally subjective and I tried to find pics online to back me up and honestly didn't find a lot. I have a crappy cell phone pic I took when I bought my black '13 5.0 with a DIB V6 next to it and that day it made me think it was a little purple.

The only reason I got rid of my '13 and am getting a '15 is because I bought off the lot and didn't get all the options I wanted....if I would have ordered it would have been DIB and I would not have regretted it one bit.

I'm still kind of annoyed that they replaced Kona Blue with Deep Impact Blue. I think Kona's a better color, but I wasn't about to spend an extra ten grand just to get the limited edition strictly because it's a slightly better shade of blue.

Done as well. Love those black PP wheels. They look fantastic on DIB especially, and also Ruby Red and Ingot Silver.
