Just wanted to document this as an occurrence as I'm guessing others are seeing it to.
I have a 6000 mile 2019 GT350 and was out a couple weekends ago washing the car and the emblem fell off right into my hands. After it fell off, I noticed significant cracking from the rivet points. It kind of looks like there was too much stress from the rivet on the hole. It has progressed from a single crack into a large spidering crack almost across the vertical section of the plastic.
I brought it to a local dealership to see if this was covered under warranty and Ford said no.

Wow that's pretty odd. Luckily it's not too expensive to replace the deck lid, even if it is an inconvenience.

You should be able to get that replaced under warranty. My deck lid panel developed a crack in it about 2 months after I took delivery, and my local dealer replaced it under warranty.

Was there something specific you told the dealership? Perhaps I just tried the wrong dealership.

10000% should be covered under warranty. That’s not normal wear and tear. It’s very obvious there’s a defect in the panel that could’ve stemmed from improper install from Ford or just in general a faulty panel. Go back to them and ask for a manager and if there’s still an Issue call corporate. They’ll make sure it’s replaced. That panel with the emblem is at least $700 that’s absolutely not your financial problem.

That should be covered under warranty. If you’re not able to get a Service Center to help, or it gets denied again you can call the Ford 800# and get a Regional CSR involved who should be able to get it fixed.

As stated above, a Shelby GT350 panel is anywhere from $700-$850 +/- depending on where and who you’re buying it from as a retail Ford Parts Customer.

Mine is having the same thing happen. As of now, the emblem is still attached firmly. Just have to get it down to the Ford Dealership to get it into the body shop for inspection and replacement.

Might try to take care of it in the coming weeks.... We will see how my work schedule is.

I recommend checking it periodically just so you don't look back one day and it's gone. I can't believe mine didn't fall off when I was driving.

When I had my 16 there developed a hairline crack beside that emblem. Ford replaced that black panel that has the emblem plastic riveted onto it under warranty. They told me it would have cost me about $900.00 just for that panel with the emblem on it not counting labor if car would not been still under factory warranty. Don't let that dealership feed you the non warranty bs. Go to another dealership or call Ford customer service and tell them everyone you've talked to had there's replaced under warranty.

Oh no I can only assume to get someone from just pulling it off and stealing it. But yea if it does for some reason come off and your not still under factory warranty you have two choices either double side tape/glue it back on or buy that whole damn black panel which comes only with it already plastic welded on it.
