I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a torn CV boot repaired, or doing it yourself? I have a good lead on a deal for a set of 2000 hp DSS axles, and one boot is completely ripped. I've repaired a stock boot in the past (different vehicle when I was young) but never an...
I know I'm late to the thread, but I'm researching upgrading my 10R80 and found this thread. Great info in here by the way.
I'm the guy at The Tuning School who wrote the 6R80/10R80 Ford guide. I do all of the Ford stuff, and now some of the Dodge as well.
In just a couple weeks we will have a lot more information about the S650. I think just waiting that long would help you figure out which direction to go.
You can always find another Mach 1 if you have patience.
Yeah. Leave it to me to assume the owners manual was correct. :headbang:
I know. I called so many of my friends and they were all stumped. When I finally told them what it was, they thought I was crazy at first.
So everyone. It was the "spare" fuse I borrowed for my circuit. When I installed the EBC, I didnt have an extra fuse with me, and in the user manual, 35 is a 5a "not used (spare)". I grabbed this for the add a circuit.
When I was troubleshooting, dumb as it sounds, it never crossed my mind...
I did not apply a test light to the starter. I can, I just didn't believe it would reveal anything. I give it a shot today though as I have nothing to lose.
My thought is that the starter is likely getting everything it should, but the signal from network is not being sent when pushing the...
They did "load" test it according to him. Honestly, I'm not too confident. Though the battery has been strong since charging it. I also had my NOCO set to start mode and I have a NOCO jump box. I dont think it's cranking amps at all.
It's something electrical with it not talking on the...
I have back tracked endlessly. The closest I got to the harness is through the grommet on the passenger kick area and I'm certain I did not damage any wires in there.
I wish I had better electrical troubleshooting experience. My friend said he thinks it's a ground issue too, but I have no...
Tried Forscan again. Can only reset some modules. Tried to force it back to stock using my SCT X4 with a stock file. Will not unlock PCM. I think the PCM is screwy. I can read the strategy and vin from it but nothing beyond that.
Probably going to have it towed to Ford on Monday. Yay.
I found this cool video that shows where all the modules are.
Found out the ICM is the information center module, for the vac and oil pressure gauge. Makes sense that Forscan cannot talk to it because it's currently unplugged. So no worries there.
Went and unplugged and plugged back in each...
