I don't have the time to provide details and the research for you.. I am at work... I've been to cali for over 22 years and that includes before they had the current emissions

Welcome to 2015! I just proved it with the part number of the Cat! Soon it will be standard for the entire US.

Just because they have the same cat does not mean they are the same across the board? A lot of Cali cars used to be slightly detuned with fuel and timing curves to meet emissions. I'm not saying the 15 is or isnt, I'm just saying the cat proves nothing.

Most what a cat does is a chem reaction from the monoxide changing it to water... it's more than a cat along with the rest of the emissions system... there are more efficient cats than others and a new one being developed cofunded by ford for its development in Texas

Well, I'll be waiting for you to prove it.
I don't need to prove anything... that's your homework to do

Because you can't! Don't make a statement you can't prove. This is a public forum. If you don't care to share info than there is no use for you to be on them. This is very disrespectful to all those that contribute to these forums in a positive manner.

Then why can't you research it... it's simple as hell to do... why do you need someone else to find it for you? I am at work.. I can't just pullt stuff on the phone here... if you have time to do it ... do it... how is it disrespectful

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_emission_standards
http://www.smogtips.com/moving_to_california.cfm
http://www.rockauto.com/info/emissionsExp.html
http://www.easterncatalytic.com/education/tech-tips/california-emissions/

This is just a few... It does not go in depth... there is more to it than what is at these links... I obviously did not have to do this because I do NOT live in CA... This is something that ANY person should look into on their own and not rely on someone else to do it for them... Sorry to be blunt but I hate lazy...I have to put up with it everyday at work and it does not make it any better here.... If you need to do more or need more info... Google it you may think it is just catalytic but it goes so much further than that, especially for older cars.... Depending on manufacturer, it may be a completely different emissions system compared to a federal 50 state emissions as CA is much more strict. It also boils down to the gas that is used in CA so some slight adjustments are made to comply specifically to California standards. You can have a 50 state emissions then go to california and fail the smog or emissions there... some components are different, some are the same. You could drive an exact same car in CA then do the same in Texas and you would say, Holy shit, i've got some power! now that I've done this and wasted my valuable time for the gym, it is your time to go further in research with this....DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH

Dude, you have no creditability. Did I ask what CA emission standards are? I know what they are and yes I can Google that. I asked what is different on the 2015 Mustang with CA emissions? You claim its a lot! Well, I just proved the Cats are the same. If it was "a lot" they would charge for it like they used to when they actually changed parts. Funny thing is you can't find the proof on Google yet you want me to find it for you! Now that is lazy!!! Stop speaking out of you ass and provide facts before you post your claims. That just makes you look silly.

Dude, seriously... It can be something as simple as an extra o2 sensor and a different exhaust to meet CA standard. AS FAR AS THE 2015 MUSTANG I DON"T FLIPPIN KNOW... GO ASK FORD SERVICE I DONT GIVE A FLIP ABOUT CALIFORNIA...lol

Wow. You sound like you'd be a lot of fun at parties.

By the way: This statement is not true.
