After thinking on the salesman/dealership's offer, I turned it down. If I am going to purchase a car, it will be the correct one for me...and this car one is not the 'Stang for me. The issues of setting on a/the lot for seven months and having options I don't want are the two factors that made my decision. 9K, as Magnetto said, is a "boatload of cash to save on a new GT"; however, I really don't want MR and I am not comfortable with its long-term reliability. I think it is (probably) too early to accurately gauge if MR's reliability and build quality will be an issue or not, but I am electing to "err" on the side of caution and not purchase MR. I still don't see "my need" for it as well...and I am not spending $1695 on an option that I don't see the need for and one that I believe will prove (in time) to be expensive to repair/replace.
I emailed my custom order to the dealer: 2019 GT Premium, Ingot Silver, 10 speed automatic transmission, 3.55 Limited Slip Rear Axle, 400A Interior Group (Black [ebony]) leather interior, enhanced security package and 19" X 8.5" polished aluminum wheels.
MSRP: $43,930. My offer to the dealer was (is): $35400 ($8530 off MSRP). Time will tell if my offer is accepted and a new 'Stang for me is ordered.
