I got my VIN 1/15 and have a build date of 02/02. My dealership told me they have a rail issue getting the new vehicles out of Detroit and not to expect my car until first or second week in March.
Then they should fly it. :D

So I found my exact build at a dealer about an hour and a half from me. Listed for $500 more than my agreed to sale price but its been there since October so I think there would be room to negotiate. If they could match price and trade value I think it'd be a no brainer to cancel my order.

Does anybody know how long it usually takes to "build" our cars? From build date to the start of the transport.

I'm not sure about about start of transport, but from what I've seen it sits "In production" on cotus for avg. 7 Days. Mines been in production since the 1/20. Then I think it depends on availability of trains/convoys.

I might be wrong tho, my order to EDD is suspiciously low.

Is it any concern that that a car on the lot, especially for 2+ months might have a number of, shall we say 'enthusiastic' test drives on that new engine?

I was originally going to buy a car 5 hours away that met my spec, but when my local dealer offered to order one at the same price (4.6% off MSPR) I chose that. Initially because I had read horror stories about that dealer having sleazy extra charges tactics at signing, so I was glad to avoid dealing with that. Then realized an ordered car would not be have test drives on it. I plan to keep this car 12+ years so longevity is important to me. Just a thought.

Yeah I imagine its going to have at least 100 miles on it. It's a concern but I'm planning on leasing this one so I'll have the warranty to rely on.

If only keeping for a few years then that would be a non issue for me as well. immediate gratification... Not that there's anything wrong with that :-)

Weird situation...I have had my VIN# (on COTUS) for two weeks. My dealer called a few days later and said that Ford had contacted them and given a Build Date. But there is still no build date on COTUS,
Does Ford have specific days/dates that they use to declare Build Dates. (I know that orders are 'pulled' on Thursday nights...confirmed by my VIN# display).

Usually you will receive your build date in COTUS a week or so before your
build week. Then your window sticker will show up and be available a day
later. The Blend date on your window sticker will show your actual build
day. On mine it is 120150126. Drop the first 3 numbers and that says
year month and day 15/01/26. So my car is slated for build tomorrow.

Not sure when it posted but I have my VIN #. No window sticker. Today is exactly a week since I ordered.

No build date listed although my dealer told me it was tentative for Feb. 16.

I've had my VIN since the 15th of this month...and our Ford Service helpers here got my build date for me....but, still not on COTUS...I understand they just aren't that great about keeping the "latest" information on "our pages."

I don't plan on "holding my breath" by what they do or do not put on COTUS.
I was told to contact Ford Service here in about a week or so to get an accurate update.
Yeah, I got my build week 4 days ago from dealer and Cotus has yet to show anything - still in Order Processing. I'm going to use my dealer for all the important dates since they probably get better info anyways.

Is COTUS having issues? Now it shows "No matching vehicle found" when I query my status.

Yea, it's been doing that all day, earlier the page wouldn't load all together, gave errors that it was out of mem.

To many mustang COITUS addicts hitting refresh i think? lol I'm one of them.

Edit: You can still find you order you just have to keep hitting submit until it comes up, usually 3-4 times for me.
