He is not correct.Does anyone know if the s550 can be tuned to pop, gurgle, "backfire" etc when letting off the throttle or when downshifting? My current tuner informed me there is no decel fuel cutoff or decal spark parameters that can be changed.
I trust what he says to be true but I am wondering if there are other tricks that can be done to accomplish the aggressive decel my s197 had. I have a weak spot for that sound.

Lund has what he calls a 'rice krispie' 'adjustment' he can make to your tune.I would love for my car to backfire and pop more! I have the Ford Racing Sport catback with LT catted headers, but it just doesn't pop and crack enough... :(
Once in a blue moon if I downshift at the perfect RPM, I'll get a loud pop, but that is about it.
Can Lund make this happen?
I disagree.To me this ranks right up there with "ghost cam" tunes... You want your car to sound way meaner than it actually is.

This lol. I showed the tables that control DFCO in HP Tuners. Its easy to disable and FWIW most of that nasty popping is due to poor MAF tuning on these cars. Mine never pops.This thread![]()
