Deceleration Gurgle and Pop

Mine doesn't do it at all. I even got lund to give me a 'rice crispy' tune. He figured the cats are likely the reason I don't hear it.

I just put on the Borla S Type catback and it somewhat does this.

Does anyone know if the s550 can be tuned to pop, gurgle, "backfire" etc when letting off the throttle or when downshifting? My current tuner informed me there is no decel fuel cutoff or decal spark parameters that can be changed.

I trust what he says to be true but I am wondering if there are other tricks that can be done to accomplish the aggressive decel my s197 had. I have a weak spot for that sound.

For the record, I have borla atak 3in cat back and no cats. Thanks guys!

I would love for my car to backfire and pop more! I have the Ford Racing Sport catback with LT catted headers, but it just doesn't pop and crack enough... :(

Once in a blue moon if I downshift at the perfect RPM, I'll get a loud pop, but that is about it.

Can Lund make this happen?

Lund has what he calls a 'rice krispie' 'adjustment' he can make to your tune.

It didn't do anything for me with my catted headers. He said flat out if what he provided didn't do it, he wasn't going to 'chase' it any further. Completely understandable, imo.

You are implying that if I have a 425+whp car that happens to not pop and crackle because I have cats (or whatever the reason may be) means that my car is not 'mean' enough for the crackle?

Making your car sound like it has a big lumpy cam when it does not is one thing. Modifying a tune to produce a crackle that is there anyways on a lot of cars (including the s550) with an exhaust, is something else.

Corsa extreme with no cats will do it, I get some pops and backfires even when I up shit lol

I've had the same complaint with my car since I bought it. I'm running catless xtremes and I don't get anywhere near enough decel pop, backfiring or gurgling. I've pretty much given up on it at this point.

This lol. I showed the tables that control DFCO in HP Tuners. Its easy to disable and FWIW most of that nasty popping is due to poor MAF tuning on these cars. Mine never pops.

Well, I feel better about my tune now. Lol. Mine never pops either, guess it's a blessing in disguise.

What gives more pop and crackle X pipe or H pipe?

My car has a sweet spot from about 2700 rpm's down to about 1500 rpm's where it will do it on light deceleration. I am running magnaflow competition mufflers so it's pretty loud.
