Currently I have a Ford Performance catback setup.

I'm planning to add at least a CAI, throttle body and some headers with a tune at the end.

I'm wondering though what will make the exhaust have more "sound" (not necessarily pops) when, for example, I am decelerating.

The Ford exhaust sounds great otherwise.

Each catback is a bit different with this. Anything resonated is going to have a lot less of that. Do you mean like this? From 1:00 to 1:25.

I absolutely love my AWE catback. I went with the touring as I’m not a big fan of raspy exhausts on the coyotes. In my opinion, it has great tone, while still being throaty and deep sounding. It has a lot of little pops and burbles on deceleration, and it’s not obnoxious what so ever. 6th gear at 70mph, there’s no drone at all, not even a little bit. I wish I had a clip for you but all I have is a cold start one (roughly 60* ambient temp)

Edit; I see you’re in VA. I’m just down the road if you want to here it in action some time

Which Ford performance by Borla exhaust do you have?
I'm not sure. Just got the car a couple weeks ago.
I posted another thread asking how I could find out.
It's either the sport or touring. Black tip catback with xpipe.

I was hoping some headers and a tune would give it a little more deceleration sound.

Everything else I think is great. Not too loud.

I was going to get the corsa sport before I got this car ... rather than the extreme.. which I think would be too loud for me.

I have had both. Still have the sport and the decel sound from high rpm is delicious. Similar volume to what you have.

You mean the corsa sport.. or Ford
Corsa. I've installed the Ford Performance Sport on a friend's car and it sounds really nice too.

I think you'll see some improvement in decel sound when you tune the car, but it's mostly exhaust.

Is there a recommended tune to use? Company wise.

I've been extremely happy with the service and performance from AED. Shaun is an extremely meticulous guy and his attention to detail makes him great. He also races what he does. You don't have to worry about drivability concerns either. It's just like stock until you get deeper into the pedal.

That said, you can't go wrong with him, Lund or Palm Beach Dyno. All are excellent.
