Nitrogen is a gas and is still affected by changes in ambient temperature (about one psi for every 10° Fahrenheit). Nitrogen filled tires will require pressure be added during the fall/winter months as ambient temperatures and tire pressures drop. Nitrogen is good but can't change the laws of physics.

Seems to be quite a bit of misconceptions about nitrogen.
Yes a lot of misinformation, and the dealers and quick lubes know this and are taking full advantage! So glad my post could enlighten people here not to pay any extra for that ish:thumbsup:

Do other Mustangs have the green stem caps that denote Nitrogen fill?
My 16 Prem has Nitrogen, and the green caps

lol the point is that a nitrogen molecule is 300 millionths of a meter long and oxygen is 292 millionths of a meter long. That's 2.7 percent difference. Not very much overall. So again, nitrogen fill is a scam. If its free go for it otherwise please please please don't waste you're money.

Both of my comparison psi tests were cold psi! So yes i lost 6psi of nitrogen in 2.5 months...
He meant the ambient temperature may have been colder. If your tires are filled on a 90 degree day, then you measure them on a 40 degree morning, you'll see a huge difference in pressure.

I can make a pretty badass post about methane...no pun intended.
I just left a pretty badass "post" in a coworker's area, judging by the cussing. :D

Yes as has been said in previous posts the ambient temperature of both measurements were at 70 degrees.

My thread was moved to a non mustang general forum, I guess it struck a nerve with someone but regardless the mustangs being sold at most Ford dealers are using nitrogen to fill the tires. So I felt it was a general mustang statement that all new mustang owners should be aware of!
