To whom it may concern

New to the forum and hopefully new to a GT350 soon. I was wondering, I might possible buy a used GT350 at Carmax, how can I tell by looking at it or by the VIN of it has the track pack? specifically the oil and engine coolers that they made standard on the 2017? Is it safe to say that if it has the Tavares it's got the track pack?

Thank you in advance

There will be a larger spoiler (About 4 inch), also look for a radiator in the pass side front grill for track pack, also recaro seats and small screen in center stack.

Look through the lower grills on the front of the car - the two to the outside under the turn signals / parking lights and through the rear valance. If you see cooling fins in all three of those locations, it's got the coolers.

Stamped steel vs aluminum for the track. The aluminum is just over 2 lbs lighter.

The easiest way, I have found, is to look into the rear diffuser area. If you see a rectangular radiator back there, it is a Track Pack.

That one is a base model which means it doesn't have track or tech package

Ah ok got it thank you. anyone know if I buy one of these can they be retrofitted after the fact by ford or a 3rd party with the right coolers to make the car more track friendly?

Simple answer is yes, there are cooling kits for the transmission and the differential that are offered by Ford Performance. Different people have different opinions as to their efficacy.

My honest answer is that if you truly intend to track the car you shouldn't buy a '15/'16 base or Tech Pack car. They're street cars, end of story.

There has been so much acrimony on this subject.
