Gnome yes they still have a problem could be 6-8 weeks delay.
Just got a reply from Nick @ DD, he reckons they will have the new drivers ready to ship by the end of next week.

I have some time this weekend to play in the shed so thinking that I may fit up the led boards with the existing drivers and get the hard bit out of the way and also make sure the led boards are OK. Then leave them unplugged until the new drivers get here. If I recall correctly did you say that they work without the car running? If you can point me towards that photo you posted up where you cut the bottom so I don't have go search for it again would be great, if not I will go look for it.

Just got the driver from DD but still haven't found anyone who can do the DRL around the Hills area, NSW. :frusty:

Also, does anyone know a good place that has experience in light modification for the stang?
Thinking of getting the LED package but need someone to install them for me.

Just had a quick look and for me I see no value in lighting up the front pony emblem (too rice for me) but the rear I would be interested in if you could say incorporate it with the brake lights so it only comes on then.

The New DD drivers are fixed and working, no problems with the engine running.

Finally after several false starts it is done. These are bloody awesome, changes the whole appearance of the front of the car in my opinion the crappy photo below does not do them justice. But after fitting them it is now clear the original incandescent DRLs and Parkers have to go, they just look dodgy with the led tri bars. First thought was just to disconnect them altogether, but now after looking at some pictures of what others have done, I think a LED swap out for them is the way to go and that will be a walk in the park after the DRLs. When I first looked at this idea I had no intention of having sequential indicators on the front, but when I saw them in action I giggled like a little school girl. I can see why DD added these, if they were just white they would have had a limited Aus \ EU market as the US already get that, but with the sequential indicators it would not surprise me if some people in the US go for these over the coloured ones, nice work DD guys!

A tip for anyone removing the front bar for whatever reason. A stubby flex head 1/4 ratchet makes short work of that pesky 7mm bolt hidden in the wheel arch. After reading the problems some guys have had getting to that one I was dreading this, but with a bit of fiddling to get at it 30 seconds and it was out with the stubby ratchet.

A big shout out to Banditvox , for your advice, I owe you a beer or two.
Also yellowpony , for your input.
And one of the euro pioneers in this papinist , I read your write up on removing the front bar months ago.
And of course Diode Dynamics , for persevering with getting the kit right for cars that are different to the ones they have access to in the US.

Sorry about the crap photos, photography is just not my thing...

Nice one mate! So how did you get the bars in the headlights? Did you separate the lights or cut into them?

Cut a hole in the bottom of each light and with a bit of keyhole surgery put the led boards in place.
