So every time I start my car, it displays a pop-up saying something about SYNC has access to my location and data and to pair a phone or FordPass app to never see the message again. Yet, I have done a master reset and paired my phone and FordPass, and the message still appears after every key cycle. Anyone know how to get rid of this annoying AF message? Does Ford even test their software? And I have WiFi turned off for SYNC and auto-updates off.

It's the stupid FordPass. I was having similar messages on my ex-2018 F-150 Platinum, and learned Ford was gathering and selling all kinds of info, while also tracking everything, so I did a master reset and never reinstalled the app. And with the Bullitt, never linked it to the car (and neither the Wi-Fi), but the darn salesman tried like crazy (no wonder why). Just do another master reset, and don't reinstall the app. You shouldn't have any such messages anymore.

On v3.2/3.3? If so, try the update to v3.4, it may fix or reduce that. I have only ever seen it once prior to initial phone pairing on v3.4. I don’t use CarPlay or Android Auto though, if there’s some unique aspect from those to that pop-up.

You have apps running or configured? Travel link or traffic?
Yeah I have them configured, as I like to use them.

I have 3.4, and it still occurs every time I start the car...I want FordPass so I can remote lock my car or see the location of it, etc. I just want the pop-ups to go away. I don't understand for the life of me why we need to see it every time I start the car...it just is so stupid. It literally says to pair a phone to never the see the message again, but I have a phone paired. Just so stupid.

Does it seem the phone connects quickly each time? Only thing I can think of is it’s dropping the connection triggering that pop-up, or maybe a really slow connection. Do you use CarPlay / AA? I know CarPlay will dump the BT connection if I recall correctly. I haven’t seen that pop-up in ages on either of my v3.4 vehicles, both with FordPass active, so I’m wondering what all is different.

I almost never use Android Auto, just Bluetooth. Bluetooth typically connects in a second or 2, really immediately. I've even tried calling Ford about it, they were no help. I just want the message gone, I don't understand the reason behind it. Like it should show it to me once and then never ever again, period.

That’s how it’s supposed to work... Have you tried a master reset to deaithorize FordPass, then reauth it? No idea if that’d help, but may be worth a shot if you haven’t.

I did that the other night when I upgraded to 3.4. Didn't fix it.
