That micro 2 fuse tap could become handy if you should decide to change things in the future.

guys, question, hopefully someone can answer.
if i get the add-a-fuse thing, where you pop in the original fuse, then the fuse for your dash cam, and use slot 23 which is switched power and 10a, can i use the 10a fuse from the car for the original slot, and then use like a 5a fuse for the camera on the other slot? i’m not sure if you need to use the same rating on both slots, or if you can go lower?

Interesting question. I hadn't given that any thought. I know when I wired my radar detector I just went without 10a fuse in that position.

Any reason you don't want to be able to use the parking mode.?
As switched power from ign switch won't allow it.

yeah. others here were saying the 10a i used previously in my 2014 was way too high so i’m confused. also the busman pckages don’t say micro 2 or anything. how do you guys know which to get like at auto zone?

i never did on my old stang. i just had it shut off. if i did parking mode i need two taps right? i believe my hardwire kit only has two wires anyway. it’s an old shark hardwire kit from like 2015 or so.

Beware, parking mode kills the battery pretty quick. The stock battery is garbage.
yeah that’s why i want a fuse that’s only ignition. i see number 17 is an unused spare. i wonder if that’s ignition only? or accessory or whatever the push to start mustangs call it now lol

Only takes one hit and run while parked to make you wish you had the battery pack for parking mode.
iirc the battery pack was 330 bucks, and the guy that clipped our truck while parked that took off, that video was better than gold. saved us 7500.oo in repairs .
Nice clear footage of his tag and him getting out of his vehicle and looking over mine and then leaving.

Indeed. I have mine wired for parking mode. I didn't say to not do it, just to be aware that if one doesn't drive the car daily, the battery will be drained. An AGM battery is a good replacement.
