No, no joke...
Then im having a failure to understand...

unless of course you are suggesting that the forum is not the place to be discussing ongoing problems and their solutions?

or do you not know what cooled seats and parking sensors are? :ninja:

Ah ok, your post really didnt read like that.

My cooled seats dont work as advertised in the brochure (providing cooled air over the whole seat), so after the TSB didnt fix it, I used a lawyer (well actually the threat of a lawyer, plus some helpful people) to get a refund from Ford.

You can do the same, if you are prepared to put some work in to it :)

But they all work like that...F150 has the same problem...man, it's a cheap car...honestly seats in my other cars(same price range) are no better.

And whats the story with front parking sensors which S550 never had?

'but they all work like that' is not an excuse to sell you something for €500 that doesnt work.

I dont give a shit if they are all crap, they can sell me what they advertise, or give me the money back :amen:

You bought yourself a cheap sports car made form cheap materials...what do you expect to receive? If you expectations are THAT high go to BMW, Audi or Merc but bring twice the money with you...at least...

If you are happy to pay €500 for something that doesnt work, then good for you.

Sorry but yours is a really stupid argumenting!
They advertised cooled seats as "seats that are cooling", but actually they don't work. So if it's ok for you to pay 500 (or 600 here) eur for nothing, well I could sell you something non working that I have laying around :D

Cheap car or not, they should provide what they are advertising. So if they said we have a 2.3L turbo and then we find that it's only a 1.5 non-turbo it should be ok, since it's a cheap car...???

Front parking sensor: in Italy they advertised the option for the Mustangt as "Front and rear parking sensor" for 400 eur. I choose the option and obviously front sensors are missing (they simply don't exist in the whole world..). So, since they advertised such package, I either want 1) front sensors or 2) half money back.

And then, I'll ask for the cooled seats too. I imagine that my money were working perfectly, but I can't say the same for the cooled seats.

And you never heard that S550 does not have front park sensors :doh::lol:

Sorry but you are the only one with stupid arguments here...Jesus, you all guys sound like a typical Passat owner who want to steal money from dealership...

No wonder Ford sells S550 in EU for more and you get less(less power, less equipment) if they need to deal with people like you...

Sorry, I'm in a wrong place and and I don't even want to be in this thread anymore... Forget what I've said - I have no idea what I'm talking about...

Bye...

Of course I know that fron parking sensors don't exist for Mustang, but 1) they insisted that if the brochure says so, they will be present, and 2) I am a customer that could not know anything about the car, and the dealer should be the one well informed.

You probably haven't followed all the stories through the europe section from the beginning so.. no problem :)

Getting a full refund is a pretty sweet deal, considering the option also consists of seat heating that actually does work.

Indeed it is.

I would have been satisfied with 1/2 to cover the only the cooled part too, but I presume as it's sold as a package, it's refunded as a package.

Although the initial response from Ford was (predictably) poor, once I managed to speak to the right people in the customer relations dept. the response was excellent and I'm more than happy with the efforts they put in.

I suppose some (like veefour) will see it as petty, but I hate being taken for a ride by companies, whether it's €50, 500 or 5000. I would still have paid €500 for just heated seats, but they advertised them as fully cooled, and that's what I expect.

I won't go shedding any tears for the multi-billion $ company that refunded me €500 and painted the underside of my car to the same amount :)
