I discovered the digital speed readout on my NGauge goes to --- when above 260km/h, when the normal speed needle goes off the clock. Handy when you are doing 280! LOL

Handy for the daily commute :D

Same for the Accessport! Much safer too really. Keeps your max value, so you don't have to watch the needles anymore so you can watch the road (which are useless after 260 anyway).

Discovered something new yesterday during a small trip on the Autobahn. Turns out the cruise control has a max of 200KPH. Just when I wanted to cruise at 300KPH :tsk::lol:
You might be able to get around that by modifying as built data. There is a thread about how to DIY. One thing you can modify is the tire diameter/circumference. Set your tire circumference to 150% of actual and 200 on the speedo will be 300 actual. I'm betting the cruise will think so too. And if the odo is also affected, your mileage warranty will be bumped by as much.

What was your top speed with the EB?? Any engine issues?

I didn't do a high speed run this time, cause it was wet. But we (BAE and I) did one last summer on our way back from our Italy roadtrip. Best I could do was 275kph. No issues at all. Car took it like a champion.

Feel like that was the max at the time, but gotta say that that was already after 800km non-stop quick driving (Ancona to Basel). Also, the 4 suitcases, BAE, 24 bottles of wine and 10 bottles of olive oil in the car won't have helped  So definitely more room for progression (also, Glenn G already went way faster with his!). I'll give it a go again once I get the chance to get more power :headbang:

So, does the middle console compartment lock?!?!

I couldn't open mine yesterday - the levers just didn't want to budge, so in a panic I began "tweaking and rocking" it... and of course the alarm went off :D

Started the car up and suddenly it worked again, but I can't see any locking mechanism at all... just weird.

If you bought these in Italy, you are a real connoisseur  :first:

With the convertible version (only), the middle console does indeed lock together with the car.

Since the weather was bad today and had a longer drive from Leuven to Gent (about 80-90K), I figured to take it easy to see what fuel economy I could get out of the Ecoboost. So reset the board computer, 6th gear, cruise control set at 120 and go. This was the results upon arrival. Tried to do the same on the way back, but then a nice Ruby GT (anybody here?) passed me and I had to follow the convoy

Serious?!!! My average on the AT is 12.8 and on short runs this goes up to 14, sometimes 16L/100km. A trip to Brussels would be around 9.9L/100Km

Nice job!

Oh btw 120km/ph isn't 120km/ph you know that right? :D

Ha thanks :D I'm gonna piss you off by saying this was with heating and heated seats still on, coyote and phone charging, aren't I? My PB is actually 6.8L/KM over a 200K drive, but then it was SUPER busy so I had been driving 10m behind a lorry half the time at a constant 80KPH on the highway, so not really an every day situation. Fuel was probably better too (in summer). So figured to try what it would do at a constant 120 in a every day situation.

Gotta say:

- Economy tune map probably helps :D
- With the 3.55 gearing of the AT vs the taller 3.31 of the MT, it's gonna be hard for you to get the same fuel economy I'm afraid

And with the taller rear tires I'm having, the speedo (and cruise control) is real close to the actual speed (difference is only 1-2kph), so I actually did 118-119 constantly ;)

PS: My total average is 11.4 right now :ninja: When I push it, tend to get 13-14L/100KM, when cruising under 8.0L/KM apparently. So

I have 3.15 gears in my GT AT and my average is between 11-13l.

I can get down to 8-9l on highway not going faster than 120kph.
