Ha thanks :D I'm gonna piss you off by saying this was with heating and heated seats still on, coyote and phone charging, aren't I? My PB is actually 6.8L/KM over a 200K drive, but then it was SUPER busy so I had been driving 10m behind a lorry half the time at a constant 80KPH on the highway, so not really an every day situation. Fuel was probably better too (in summer). So figured to try what it would do at a constant 120 in a every day situation.

Gotta say:

- Economy tune map probably helps :D
- With the 3.55 gearing of the AT vs the taller 3.31 of the MT, it's gonna be hard for you to get the same fuel economy I'm afraid

And with the taller rear tires I'm having, the speedo (and cruise control) is real close to the actual speed (difference is only 1-2kph), so I actually did 118-119 constantly ;)

PS: My total average is 11.4 right now :ninja: When I push it, tend to get 13-14L/100KM, when cruising under 8.0L/KM apparently. So
Interesting, my total average after 15000km is 12.8. Also I do a lot of short drives, +- 20km etc. and I drive it quite sporty, but within reason. Never do WOT pulls or so, if I push it hard that would be around 3.5 or 4k rpm when pulling up.

Today unexpectedly a BMW X5 wanted to pull, it took me a second before I noticed when the light came green but still beat the crap out of him ;-) not bad for the four banger:D and I have no idea what engine the X5 had but surely was quite fast.

Back on the fuel economy, I suppose the Cobb tune might help me out when I get one... and if I made my mind up on what mods to get first...

It's too easy to check the average fuel consumption on a short\medium trip... I could get 100 km with 1 liter on a 500m trip :D
I always check that after a full tank and I'm getting about 11-11,5 km\l (that should be about 9 l\100 km I think) and 10-10,5 in winter.
Actually, with the gas price around here I care about fuel consumption, also because they stated 14 km\l :tsk: and I'm driving reeeeally slow, always under 2000 rpm (see the green arrow? I follow her advice to shift up :) )

I would love to have the economy tune, but probably the price needed is higher than the saving I could have.

American cars = gas guzzlers! :headbang:
Still, I know for a fact it's possible to go 1200+ km on one tank in the Eco manual... :clap2:

I see a BIG difference with all the small trips I make and the once/week when I drive 2x30km instead... it's pretty clear the car wants to get get warm and drive at steady speeds instead of constant stop'n'go cold...

Quite expensive here as well, €1.52+ per liter ATM

There's one drive in a week that I only need to do 20KM back and forth, this takes me +- 1 hour and a half... way to many traffic and traffic lights... very boring, nerving and expensive...

Went to take fuel first with my Mustang and can do about 500km with a complete fuel tank one or at least that is what the car thinks. Then later I went with my Beamer to fill it up, drove about 100km and was a lot in traffic and still +1000km to go with the fuel that is inside ... and it is not that I am not driving "sporty" with the Beamer maybe sometimes more than with the Mustang ... but now good weather arrives and then the Stang can come out more frequently again during the weekend!

FYI:

Ford (well the dealer) refunded me the cost of my cooled seats today. I had the TSB fix applied in October, but they still werent doing what was advertised in the brochure.

After some to-and-fro, I was refunded the option price today.

I had a consumers association send a letter for the front parking sensors affaire.. no reply whatsoever :ninja:
Time to speak to a lawyer :paddle:

And after parking sensors, cooled seats!

I used my legal insurance (something I pay about €3 per month for). They agreed there was a case, wrote a letter and were ready to send it... but the threat of this was enough to prompt Ford and the dealer to action.

Otherwise, the full legal route would also have prevailed (eventually).

I had the underside protection re-done as part of the same complaint. So around €1000 worth of remedial action in the end.

The daft thing is, I initially only wanted the underside sorting, but Ford fobbed me off - so I used the legal route and thought I might as well tackle the seats at the same time. If they had just helped with the under-protection in a nice way, they would have saved money on refunding me the seats.

Oh well!
