I like this idea. I custom ordered one of my BMWs in Orange from an extended extra cost colour chart. It was too expensive, if I'm honest but a welcome change from the usual 3 silvers, 2 blacks, 1 red and 2 blues they usually offered.

How much $$$ was the orange color option?

Currently Ford charges additional for some metallic colors. My 2011 was red candy metallic for a $395 upcharge.
And yes, I like the new Ruby Red, hate me if you want :)

I'd also love for Ford (for a fee) to allow some customization of the interior. Custom colored stitching, seat and door panel quilting options etc. As a kid (10th grader in 1976) I worked my ass off an bought a 1969 Mach 1 then went through a complete rebuild and blueprinting of the 351W including cut dow Chevy valves to get more air flow from the heads as back then there were not that many 351W hipo parts that you could buy. Anyhow for that era it was a pretty fast car and I blew away more that one Porsche, Ferrari and Corvette the only issue was a lack of sophistication (live axle, vinyl interior). Yes I get the price point reality but here I am a huge Mustang fan (all my life) and I think Ford is really close for me on this car. From what I've seen in photos and video the car looks amazing, the car finally has a good IRS set up and with the PP option great brakes and suspension set up (does it really out perform the Boss 302?) So please if your bench mark was the Porsche 911 and the BMW M4 let me do the same thing as I could with those cars. Let me pay you for some really cool interior options to really bring it that last step to a world class GT and I'll run down to my nearest dealer and gladly hand over my hard earned cash!
