Hey guys!

I really want some two-piece rotors for my track build. I'm deciding between DBA T3's ("cheap") and AP (expensive).

But I also really really dig the look of the Brembo Type 3 rotors they offer, but no one sells a complete kit afaik, so I don't know if they'll fit the OEM Brembos. Has anyone ever fitted them? The Shelby Super Snake comes with them.

Cheers

I haven’t tracked these rotors so I can’t really give you information you could use. But do you have more info on those type 3’s? I haven’t seen or heard of them

Thanks for your reply guys.

I actually have DBA 2-piece rotors on mine, but as I said, just really want the Brembo ones. But can't find them anywhere unfortunately...

Just google Brembo Type 3 rotors and you'll see... They're used on a lot of GT3 & GT4 race cars (like on the GT4 Mustang's) and the Shelby Super Snake has them.

Vivid racing is what came up through my quick searching. Only thing they listed the type 3’s for were German cars. In the 380mm verity that is. I didn’t look through the smaller rotors. A lot of race cars use smaller braking systems though. Smaller relative to 15” and 15.5” options for weight reasons. I don’t know what size rotors the gt4 Mustang’s use

I thought about ordering the rotors and the hat separately (e.i. from Wilwood), I have the correct hat specifications written down somewhere... Just don't know about the thickness/if they'll clear the OEM 6 pot Brembos.

edit: vividracing JUST went down. lol.

I've had mine for over a year. Only about 5k miles though. No track days. But my car has done many 150mph heavy braking maneuvers. Other than worse than normal brake dust, they've been great.
