Current owners that have received their cars.

If you've gotten any of these 3, please post if you think they are worth it or not.

- Reverse Park: Is it really needed with the camera already?
- 68B - Extra stitching, soft touch but less leather then base leather.
- Security Pack - Wheel locks, console lock, sensors

Trying to decide which ones to get and if any are just a waste.

Thx!

I myself can only comment on the reverse park, I would say it's "not" needed since it has the reverse camera. However for $295 it's nice to have for the times you say have to parallel park, or reverse out of a tight spot or something. More just convenience than anything.

For me the security package was worth it because I go to school in the Chicago area and a lot of people have gotten their wheels stolen around here so having the extra security just makes me feel better.

I also got the Premier Trim package and the only reason I honestly got that was because of the Redline color seats lol. My previous 2010 Mustang was black with red seats and I wanted the same for this one.

Reverse park wasn't really worth it for me because I'm used to parallel parking in the city so just having the camera standard helps a lot didn't want to waste money with reverse park since I was used to doing it without those features anyways.

Hope that helps!

68b is a must, the leather is insanely soft and I love it.

security package is questionable, I tacked it on because I could and having it lowers your insurance a little bit (added security)

Reverse assist is questionable, I enjoy the beeping and the dimples are barely visible, so I think its worth it but if you don't want the dimples or can focus on the picture instead of the beeping, then you can easily tack it off.

As one that ordered the 68B but still have yet to actually sit in it, this makes me feel better about spending the extra money!

Supposedly sensors do cross traffic too, so if you are backing out it will beep if it's going to cross your path. That's a big one for me since I back out of my garage every morning and already lost a bumper cover from a careless driver that I wouldn't have had I had the system. Totally worth it for the price IMO!
I thought cross traffic alert only came on 401A? I would be getting 400A (don't want the HD radio, Shaker sub, memory seats or BS system).

Also I thought 68B added vinyl trim to the seats?

security package is a must IMO. Factory alarm is only for forced door opening or ignition, NOT for interior motion or broken windows! Biiiiiiiig difference. Also electronic locking box is a huge convenience so that you dont have to bust out the damn key every time to lock it in a car that is 100% keyless.

Reverse assist is another 'essential' IMO and this is coming from someone who spent half of highschool working in a mechanic shop afterschool taking trash out and parking cars in insanely tight spots. The camera is beneficial an also color too, but it is so small and if you don't happen to catch something (moving object/person, small pole, etc) the sensors will pick it up. If it were my choice, I would take the sensors over the camera.

Cross traffic is only with BLIS on the 401A package. All the reverse sensors do is provide the audible beep when reversing. I didn't order it on mine because it beeps every time I back out of the garage so I started ignoring it anyway.

I had backup sensors on my last two trucks, and really missed them on my 2011 Mustang. So I ordered them on the 2015.

With the way rear decklids have gotten higher and higher, I like the extra assurance when backing up, and I back in to park every day.

Also, my wife had them on her old SUV but not on her current one, and backed into a parked car, despite the 8" screen in the middle of the dashboard.

Security pack is a no-brainer and should be standard on a 2/401A car.

And I got the 68B for the nicer seats and redline.

1. Security Package...sure why not? Not that expansive and who doesn't want extra security?

2. Reverse Parking Assist. Not for me! I personally don't thin its needed with having a camera. Sure its inexpensive but it doesn't have cross traffic alert. All it does is make an audible sound when you're getting close to something. Thhats what the view in the camera is for. Besides...I don't like the look on the bumper and I really don't like the white wax that will inevitably show up as a ring on the dimples in the bumper.

3. What do you mean 68B has Less Leather? What are you talking about? This is the first I've heard of this. What is the sourse?
