Enhanced Security Package

The attached PDF is a page from the 2015 Dealer Source Book. It shows features of the "Active Anti-Theft System" which is included in the "Enhanced Security Package".

There is nothing in the owner's manual about an "inclination sensor". So I'm wondering if it really has one. Has anyone seen the alarm go off if the car is hooked up to a tow truck or one end is raised a lot higher than the other end?

Also, it says "Includes a separate alarm sounder plus the vehicle horn". I've got the Enhanced Security System and have tested it in the garage, and when it goes off all I hear is the vehicle horn ... I didn't hear any other "separate alarm sounder".

Keep in mind this Dealer Source Book was out before the Mustangs were out, so I question some of the information in the Source Book. I'm wondering if some planned features were never put into the cars? :shrug:

I've jacked my car up while the alarm was on... Was not expecting the alarm to go off, but it sure did lol

I have activated my alarm in the garage with the windows down, stuck my hand inside the car to retrieve my shades and the alarm went off. It works, glad I got it man.

I wonder whey the owner's manual doesn't say anything about it.

In the Dealer Source Book it says:
"Locking the vehicle with the ignition key in the driver’s door arms the doors, hood and trunk, but blocks the motion and inclination sensors; use this method if interior motion is expected, during vehicle transport or when hoisting."

I would think something like that would be mentioned in the owner's manual too.

Does anyone know if this option can be dealer installed? I found an existing mustang close by that has all the options I want except for this one. I have it on my S197 and I really don't want to go without it.

Yes but do you know if it contains all the same features that comes from the factory? I have read other posts about the ford perimeter plus system and from what i can tell it doesnt look like its the same thing.

I jacked up car with alarm set. It went off, worked as advertised.

I wasn't aware that the center console locked with the ESP (or that this package is included in the GT Premium convertibles !)

Obviously I should/could RTFM, but is the security system 2-stage? Where there's a basic lock but an enhanced setting (like two lock taps on the fob) where the proximity sensors are activated?

I have the Enhanced Security Package (hey! I have ESP!) but I've been unable to make it sound with proximity or anything else, though "all sensors" is the default setting upon locking the car.

I was on a boat ferry and wanted to go to the second deck/ use the restroom, so I locked the car ran upstairs and kept hearing a cars alarm going off (thinking to my self who's the idiot that can't function a car alarm). Looking down I see my car flashing/honking, so just the movement from the ferry was setting it off.
