You want a tune to be a great normal driving tune but also not have the car on the ragged edge of things... I don't know much about Bama other than watching stuff on AM. Lund Racing is so prevalent in the mustang world that many vendors on here offer their tunes.
Livernois is usually top notch but that is all mail order stuff for those.
When I get my GT350 intake manifold and kooks headers I'm going to get it custom dyno tuned. Usually extract a little more power and get it tuned just right with great drivability.

What tuner do you have?

I'm not running a tune currently. The PMAS is the biggest intake tube you can get but you can get it with a calibrated Mass air sensor for it (Precision Mass Air Sensors) and not need a tune for it.

If I did go mail order tune from all I've read I'd probably go with Lund and the Nguage. Cool tuning device with lots of monitoringn and data log capability for fine tuning a mail order tune and Lund is somewhat conservative from all I've read.

I do like the look of the ngauge. vent mount is very cool.

I still don't know why I wouldn't go with the Bama though. It seems very popular (lots of people have it?) and the reviews are very complimentary. It also does all of the data logging and stuff. Not as pretty as the ngauge, but that's ok.

I have a similar list as well. I installed a Roush axle back last week (it sound amazing), I'm planning to install an X pipe next week, after that I will add a PMAS intake, and eventually I'll add a tune (probably Lund), headers, and maybe switch to 3:55 when my warranty is nearly up. Right now I'm trying to only do mods that won't void my warranty since the car is still only 3 weeks old.

I just put my order in for a 17 convertible GT with PP. I am planning:

C&L Racer intake

I am not familiar with C&L, but an intake is just an intake in my opinion.

Bama X4/SF4 power flash

I had a Bama tune and wasn't a fan of it. I eventually switched over to Lund. If you haven't purchased a tuning device, check out the nGuage with a Lund tune. I'm sure one of the vendors on here can hook you up!

MBRP Street catback - black

I am also not familiar with MBRP. I have heard that they aren't the best quality, but I may be mistaken. Listen to a ton of exhaust videos and read up on the reviews of the exhaust before you make your purchase. If you know someone who has the exhaust in person, even better. Make your exhaust purchase once to save yourself some money!

I already found and purchased the intake. That's on its way. The tuner seems to be a very common choice... The exhaust, I have no idea. I want black tips, and this one seems to sound good and obviously the price is right.

Let me know what you think about the list!

Thanks!

OP, if that deal I sent you doesn't work out I'd look at Solo Performance exhausts. I was going that direction until Lethal Performance had a killer deal + rebate on my MBRP Street.

cool thanks!

with the intake, I just wanted to get one with a larger MAF housing, although, now I see that most do have that option, some with an insert until you get a tuner.

What made you not a fan of the bama? anything specific?

I'm definitely going to take my time on the exhaust. listening to clips on youtube is hard, because I don't think it will sound the same in person. decisions decisions!

I have an auto, so 3:15. The only issue is while the 3:55 would make it feel quicker on the street, I hear the shift pattern allows the 3:15 to do better in the 1/4 mile. So I'm still on the fence about that mod. But I'm definitely adding an X pipe, and PMAS intake in the next few weeks. Adding the Roush axle-back made such a big difference in the fun factor. I drove the car for 2 weeks with the stock exhaust, it's way too quiet. The Roush sounds awesome, and should sound even better with the resonator delete X pipe.

I am excited about the exhaust. I want just slightly less than what would make my neighbors complain.

That's why I did the Roush axle-back first, then drove it for a few days to decide whether or not I wanted/needed the X pipe. The Roush has a nice tone, it's supposed to be one of the louder axle-backs, but I wouldn't go any quieter, it's not THAT loud. When I get on the throttle it will turn heads, but I want some more tone at idle, so I'm going to grab an X pipe this week. It's hard to decide on an exhaust unless you hear it in person, but I took a chance with the Roush, based on reviews and am happy. It's also very reasonably priced at $549. I can use the money I save on an X pipe. Hopefully I'll be able to grab the PMAS intake in a few weeks, then I'll be satisified....for now. :D

It will be a lot louder without the suitcase resonator on there. I hope you want more loud and more rasp. If you do you will be happy.
