Hi guys,

So my MY17 S550 has developed an annoying creaking noise from i think the rear seats area.

It started after having my rear seats folder down, and since putting them back up they've creaked constantly when driving!

I can only assume it's the latch holding the seat backs upright, and since it's been unlocked for the first time, it's creaked ever since.

Today i've cut some strips from a thick plastic carrier bag and slammed the seats shut over these bits of plastic to see if they make the noise stop.

Has anyone had a similar issue, and if so how did you solve it?

Never had this and my rear seats are down frequently for shows and events to get stuff to/from

Mine were creaking/squeaking when it was minus temperatures recently but seem fine again now. Try some leather cleaner/treatment/moisturiser between the centre split where they rub together maybe?

Update for anyone with this issue in the future - the strips of thick plastic bag i've placed in the seat latches before slamming shut has solved the issue.

Maybe I ended up being a bit lucky but I placed some grease in there two years ago and no noises since. It only started after I initially (first time) folded down the rear seats.

Exactly what I had and was how how GT101 fixed what I too thought was a squeaky rear suspension

I’ve found though that if you fold rear seats down a lot then it recurs requiring another taping.

Goddamn! I had an annoying squeak, thought it was exhaust rubbers or suspension but figured what the heck, got some plumbers tape and wrapped it round the D rings for the rest seats. No more squeaking! 4 fcking yrs i have put up with squeaking, i assume it's been since I got the exhaust changed when they folded the rear seats down to fit the electrics. Hoo raa.
Now for fixing everything else, sigh šŸ˜”
