I have a small chip the size of a nickel on my passenger side. Local ford dealer says I have to replace the whole damn windshield. Has anyone used safelite to repair their 2015 yet?

That will need to be replaced. Safelite can fix small crack and stars. Anything
longer than a dollar bill gets replaced with OEM Ford glass.
This.

And be warned, a repair on a star rarely makes it completely invisible. Sometimes you can still see it, but it's just not quite as visible. To me this is just a stopgap measure to ensure that the star doesn't crack outward.

Been there, done that....

I doubt aftermarket ones are available yet. I had a similar experience with my 2013 soon after I bought it and they had to use OEM because there were no aftermarket available. Which I thought was a bonus!
