So long story short, romped on her the other day and it shut down… got out there today and pulled plugs and got in there with a scope to start. Plugs did not get hit at all..ok. Scoped down through and did not see any valve impressions on the pistons, will better confirm once I pull heads I suppose. Scoped through oil fill and story started to unfold.. damn!

So going from here… any able to chime in if I should go straight to pulling and visually inspecting or start with leakdown to see if things a salvageable? If nothing collided Id love to go through the repair route, if they did she will be getting a donor engine.. Ill make sure to upgrade the CS and OPG sprocket and gears this time🤦🏼. Any insight or direction on what to be checking for next steps is welcomed! Thanks guys!

I suggest a tear down to the short block and conduct a thorough cleaning. Once that’s done, replace any obvious broken parts, reassemble the engine and then do your compression test.

Is this a high mileage engine? If so, maybe consider new rings beforehand as well.

Since you’ll have to take the timing cover off to address the crank sprocket and OPGs, then yes, I would replace rings and allow for a long life. I’m assuming you’ll be doing the work yourself?

Yeah, I was going to do as much as I can do myself depending on what I open up. Plan on tearing down the end of this week. Haven gotten the taste of boost. I don’t think I will go back, with that being said, if I end up doing the rings would it be worth changing the pistons or different ring size for a lower compression at all?

I delt with the same issue, many people have had this issue threw in a new cs and lived a happy life, drain the oil and see how the oil looks and go from there, when I found mine broken the car actually ran completely fine I just happened to find a tooth from the cs on my drain plug because it was the upr plug with the magnet, if the oil dont look like its got tons of metal in it hopefully you can just replace the cs and opg and live a happy life, best of luck brotha sorry it happened

You could install a thicker head gasket to lower compression. As for the rings, you could also gap them better to handle the task of higher boost better.

Pulled the supercharger and valve covers the other day, started finding the pieces.. all the intake cam roller fingers broken, couple broken lash adjusters, scoring on intake cams from pieces bouncing around🤦🏼. I scoped the valves from the bottom before taking apart through the plug holes and couldn't see any obvious damage, looking down through the head at the top of the intake valves they dont look bad and seem to be seating, they depress with a screwdriver pushing down smoothly, no noticeable binding, one looks like it may have had a leak going on previously. Going to do a leak-down test later today for shits and giggles to see where thats at.. thinking if it is sealing ok might be able to get away with new cams, replacing broken pieces, lapping and timing chain job…? Maybe

If a leak down is good I would just fix it. If you pull pistons you might as well build the whole thing. At that point just get a gen 3 shortblock unless you are interested in building an engine. No wrong answer here
