I discovered this crack in the plastic running above/underneath and below the GT emblem on my rear deck panel. Anyone else ever have this issue before? I basically never touch this area unless it's being washed since it scratches so easily (you can see all of the scratches around the crack from where I was wiping it with my finger to see what it was). Not sure if it's worth a try seeing if Ford will replace it under warranty or if I should just cave and get the blank version with no emblem.

Same thing happened to mine. Ford replaced it. Get it done under warranty otherwise you will be out $700!

Kevin,

There is an actual TSB for the 2018’s regarding the scratches on that rear ABS panel. I had posted a separate thread with the actual TSB attached; you may be able to find it searching my user ID.

Since yours is cracked (probably stress crack) due to how the emblem was affixed and weather changes that make the plastic contract/expand - it might get replaced under the 3/36 warranty.

Thanks for that info....definitely helpful. What you said about weather changes makes sense, I noticed this the morning after the car was kept outside in a low 20* evening while I was in GA last weekend. I will call Ford up on Monday.
