Courtesy light in trunk out

Okay, so I've got a stupid one.

Car is 3.5 years old with 75k miles.

I use my trunk everyday (breifcase).

The courtesy light quit working (you know, the one that's supposed to come on when you open the trunk).

Is it incandescent or LED?

Anyone else had this issue?

If a new bulb doesn’t work -

It could be a broken wire within the same wiring harness that is linked to the back up cam, rear trunk release, etc. It’s a common issue for the wires within that harness to break apart and there’s actually a Ford TSB our on it. If the car is still under warranty, it would be repaired free of charge.
