OK, I am officially fed up with this crap and really losing interest in this car. I'm not even excited about getting it at this point...

From the beginning, when my order first showed up in COTUS, then disappeared and was replaced with a race red EB (I ordered a guard GT), it has been anything BUT helpful or accurate.

Original EDT was December 5th, long since passed of course, then came the changes, which now number more than 12.

The latest situation is this: Manager contacted me January 2, 10:56AM car was on a train, going through Ohio. Finally, some good news! COTUS still shows in transit...first time it's been accurate....LOL

This morning, Manager texts me, "as of 20:05 last night, your Mustang was arriving on the ramp in Virginia, still with an ETA of Jan 6 - Jan 12th. Hoping for delivery by this weekend." COTUS says the same.

This evening, COTUS has again tacked on more days, now says January 14th...

F*** IT! Call me when it's in, and I'll see if I am still interested in picking it up!!:frusty:

I will NEVER order a freaking vehicle again!

Jesus dude...freaking relax:frusty:

Why not feel fortunate you are able to order a custom car and the funds to do so:thumbsup:

Maybe your sales person should give you the info to track your car on the rail system. It has also been mentioned 1000 times that COTUS is new and still under development. This means it won't always be 100% accurate.

I waited 7 months to the day from the time I ordered until I took delivery.

Just take it with a grain of salt. My ETA has jumped about 3 times now. I just told them to call me or text me when it arrives.

It's not perfect. I can't think of many things that are.

I understand your frustration... been there... but once you get behind the wheel all the pent up frustration gets left in the dust.

My date changed all over the place. You've gotta accept COTUS for what it is. A very vague estimate of approximately how long it SHOULD take given the current location and status of your order. When variables that affect the long chain of dependencies change, so does the date.

Oh, I AM relaxed. You should see what happens when I'm pissed off!!! LOL

Seriously though, this is FMC, not Jim Bob's freaking auto delivery, and yes, I do expect more. I am sick of companies rolling out websites, software, etc., and when the sh*t doesn't work, using the excuse, "It's still in development." Development is something you do BEFORE you release something to the public. And yeah, when you're getting my money, I demand that I get what I paid for, lest I give my money to someone else. Mediocrity is NOT acceptable!

And just for the record, I am thankful everyday that I wake up, and that God has provided for my family and I to enjoy the things life in the Good Ole USA has to offer!

This could an Agile methodology project where they have weekly sprints (releases) and they are fixing things in very small batches. We all have access to their QA and/or UAT COTUS environments months ago and some still do query that information.

They get differing data validation between environments as to be expected as I am sure Ford and their development team are not doing daily data refreshes for those non production environments. Have to worry about code changes being overwritten, etc.

Ford service has also stated many, many times that COTUS is still in the experimental phase. I would term it more along the lines of a UAT effort.

What have you paid for? At most, a deposit to hold your order? When you do eventually pay - believe me - you'll get what you pay for. As for developing something to perfection before you roll it out... that would be called unrealistic expectations.

I am tired of waiting but don't object to the "COTUS" site.

I am at nine weeks after order for a coupe and still do not even have a VIN. I am starting to lose interest in the Mustang; the thrill is gone.

I have ordered two Mercedes coupes (in 2000 and 2004) for delivery across the Atlantic from German factories and had both cars in less than nine weeks. I have ordered several other cars from Ford going back to 1992 with delivery in less than nine weeks.

A 1997 F-150 did take quite a bit longer to deliver - from May 1996 order to September delivery. I did lose interest in that vehicle but was pleased with it when it eventually arrived. First year of a new body style and a very popular vehicle was the issue with the F-150; probably same deal with Mustang coupe.

I am going to stick it out and wait; don't really want anything else at another brand or dealer.

This late in the game with the '15 rolling off the line now, that 9 weeks seems really long to not even have a VIN yet.

Have you confirmed if you dealer does indeed have an allocation for your car? If they don't you will never get a VIN.

I was told 6 to 8 weeks when I ordered mid Sept. My car was shipped today, 1/7 and will be here in NJ by 1/26. That is a 17 week wait which will turn into a 25 week wait (at least) because the car will sit in my garage until mid March or later. That's OK because it will be that much better the first nice day I take it out and and put it through its paces. The wait will be behind you before you know it.
