Found a picture of inside the corsa intake, I would be interested to see people's opinion on temperatures now that they have been installed for a week or so. I recently sold my JLT and I am wondering whether I should buy this as a replacement or just a plain old K&N filter

Be good to know the filter size area of that cone filter compared to stock panel filter. It is quite a small cone filter so can't be to much in it.

As I put in my own thread, stock air box, high flow panel filter and tune works superbly and saves you a tonne of money. :)

Installs pretty easy, and if I drive immediately the temps stay 4-5 degrees above ambient, and remains that way. Sitting it gets about 40 degrees warmer than ambient. After it's gotten hot the only way I've seen to get it back down to within ten degrees of ambient is hop onto the interstate.

Any new Infos on the drag times? compared to other CAIs? And does anybody know if there is a dry Filter avaiable? I am contemplating on getting a closed one, just not sure if Airaid or Corsa.

Does this intake guarantee gains over stock, does it need a re-tune or is MAF tube stock size?

I'd happily to a dyno of it, same day before and after, but I kind of want a guaranteed gain over the stock system with panel filter otherwise it is simply not worth it for me.

I have so far documented every stage:
Stock with Corsa sport catback / panel filter: 415BHP / 390lbft @ crank
SCT canned 93 tune with above: 435BHP / 420lbft @ crank
JDM custom tune: 440BHP / 410lb/ft @ crank

So I was going to try PMAS, but they have gone quiet on me about shipping to UK, so I am keen to try a CAI but I don't want to waste my money on something if the gains are zero. If you can guarantee me gains, I shall buy one, do the dyno, post up the graphs and do a full review. :)

If it shows 3-5 hp on my stock car that would be great. It would show that it would work well with FI and / or a tune.

We've seen gains over stock but 3-5 Horsepower is marginal and the gains can range from Dyno to dyno. The one thing I like is it kept my IAT's down, I'm running the kit (installed at Mustang Week in 110 degree weather).

Thanks for the honest reply and for me 3-5BHP is not really worth the change or expense as my stock intake is never more than 3c above ambient due to modifications I made to the intake.

What are those mods if you don't mind me asking?

What are those mods if you don't mind me asking?

The modifications I made to the stock intake are:
- Drilled out the honeycombs on the front ride side to maximise air flow into air box.
- Fitted a Venturi duct that fits right upto front grill so all air entering the grill can ONLY go into air box, essentially ram air effect.
- Afe Dry Pro filter
- Airaid Modular Intake Tube
- Sound tube capped off.

All the above keeps intake temps 2-3c above ambient, when the car was completely stock they would sit 6-10c above ambient. Also do the above all had small impacts on throttle response, but when all done together it is noticeable. With the above my car (UK Car 410BHP), made 415BHP at the crank, I then put an SCT 93 tune on the car and got 435BHP, I then moved to JDM tune and this gave me 440BHP. But the JDM tune is better in many other ways particular the smoothest throttle and the car is stunning to drive on their tune.

I have just ordered a PMAS, so am going to see what improvement if any I get, shall do a before and after dyno, but am hoping for 450-460BHP (crank) with the PMAS.
