Now that I've been driving the car for a few weeks I thought I would provide some feedback...

I went with the Sport Cat-Back with NO Cats. These are the larger touring mufflers. I would rate the overall volume of this set up to the same as the Extreme Cat-Back with Cats.

Overall I'm happy with how the car sounds and I get compliments everywhere I go. Cold start sounds wicked and the car sounds like a true muscle car, however, my neighbors can hear me start my car 2 blocks away in the morning. At idle it has a great subtle deep rumble to the exhaust note. I think this is a prefect volume. At WOT the car is ridiculously loud and sounds killer. When I'm at WOT it could be open header loud and I wouldn't care. Cursing on the expressway at 70-80mph is tolerable and you can hold a conversation and the exhaust note is not over powering. Under normal acceleration to speed or getting onto the expressway the exhaust is EXTREMELY loud and hard to talk over it with the windows up. This is really my only gripe about the setup. My wife and friends said that when driving behind the car on the expressway that the exhaust is very loud and dropped back 1/4 to 1/2 mile to not have the drone inside their cars. I can no longer hear my Whipple at WOT with this exhaust and that has pissed my wife off. She really liked the sound of the blower whine...she called it the "Night Rider" sound...not sure why, but I give her props for trying to reference a TV show with the main character as a car.

I think if I were to put a resonator back on the car it would tone down the sound level under normal acceleration, but it may quite the car down too much in all the other areas that I love. So I'm going to stick with what I have.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the input and feedback it was extremely helpful.

Will the Corsa Extreme lose any power or tq, being full 3in with stock headers?

I bought a low mileage corsa extreme catback for $800 off a local guy on craigslist and I literally just installed it myself last night. I drove it on my 90 mile trip to work this morning so I have a few points about it.

A. It sounds awesome

B. It is not nearly as loud as some people would make you think. I think there must be a lot of old people on here. Maybe it's because mine is already broken in some

C. I was afraid I would lose torque because when I added an H-pipe with my axle-back I experienced a noticeable loss in low end torque that contributed to my decision to have my resonator welded back in.

I've been pleasantly surprised that I actually feel a noticeable seat of the pants improvement in torque and power. Enough that I know I'm not imagining it.

D. I did by myself in my apartment parking lot with the rear up on ramps at night and I've never done an exhaust install so it must be exceptionally easy

E. There is no drone at all

....inside the car . Corsa does such a good job of directing all the sound rearward that it doesn't sound as loud from the driver's seat as it actually is. The same is true for my Sport axleback (same mufflers as the Xtreme), which sounds downright quiet when just driving around sometimes, but when I've had others drive it, I can confirm it is properly loud!

Lol I can definitely tell the sound is being projected out the back.

I know it's loud when I get on it but in normal around town driving I feel like it's only loud enough for people to know I'm there but not loud enough to upset anyone, unless I wanted to :D

I have catless headers with a corsa sport. At first it was obnoxiously loud, the noise in the cabin vibrated your skull type of loud.
I welded in FOUR additional resonators and now it's tame enough to daily drive at a reasonable volume and roars when you step on it.

Avoid the extremes if you don't have cats IMO.
+1

For those of you saying the Xtremes are not as loud as you thought, have you heard your car from the outside with someone else driving it? They are freaking loud! I love mine.
I had Corsa Sport CB and i thought it was too quiet and switched to Xtremes and couldnt be happier.

I think my car adjusted to the new exhaust last night and turned up the volume a few more decibels lol

I asked my fiancée to lightly rev it for me so I could hear it from behind and she proceeded to redline it with me standing 3 feet behind the car

It is loud
