Contemplating converting my Corsa Sport cat-back into Corsa Extreme cat-back…thoughts/opinions?

Currently have a Corsa Sport cat-back with Lethal Performance/Corsa double H pipe.

Stock headers and cats. No intention of adding LTHs.

Installing Roush phase 2 SC.

I like the Sport, but find the tone a little “muffled/deep”…and just a very slight bit of bleaty/droney resonance under load around 3-4K.

I’ve read here that the Extreme has a “cleaner” or “clearer” tone, less bass.

Will the Extreme be obnoxious once I go FI? I know it can be unruly with LTHs.

All opinions/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Depends if you like it loud. in my opinion I would go with some longtubes if you want to wake your car up a bit more. Texas Speed or Stainless Power longtubes would pair nicely with the sports with our HH pipe. www.lethalperformance.com

No way would I go extremes, but that's because I have full lenth catless headers and the 3" double x pipe. It's extremely loud with the sports. I loved the sports when I was on factory headers, ford performance x and the sports. Had a great sound without being insanely loud. You may be ok keeping the factory headers and cats though.

Easy, if keeping cats on go with Xtremes….. if your removing the cats, keep the sports….. been there done that lol.

Thanks guys. I am keeping cats, ordered the Sport mufflers to make my system an Extreme (with Corsa double H).
