I have Corsa Extreme cat backs on my 15 GT. I want to put on catted headers but do not want the car any louder than it currently is. I also want to keep the exhaust a full three inches. Borla has a H resonator but it reduces to 2.5 inches so that is out. I'm trying to keep the exhaust as close to what it is now. Any suggestions?

You're pretty much sunk when you put headers on. It's going to make the car louder no matter what you do. Especially keeping a 3" exhaust. You'll need some custom resonators and some quiet mufflers.

Two of those will keep it quiet even with long tubes. Even the shorter 12" case 16" overall would help a ton.

Very simple: get the Corsa Touring axle-back (same as the Corsa Sport cat-back) mufflers. With those mufflers and new headers, it'll be at the same volume as the Xtreme with stock headers.

Not quite. It's still pretty loud with the Corsa Sports and Headers.

Not always. If I put rear mufflers back on mine it will be almost as quiet as a stock GT just different tone.

Thanks to all who replied. I would have chosen different mufflers had I initially installed headers. It is what it is now. My dilemma is are the gains putting on headers vs cost of retro fitting the exhaust to quieten it down worth the money? As it sits I like the sound of the exhaust.

you would weld the bullets in before the corsa mufflers. not sure how it would effect welding resonators into the double x
