another way to look at it is to have an alibi now. you can do stupid stuff and blame it on the other guy that has copied you. LOL!

lmao who hasn't done the black accent treatment with the white s550s. Literally the most common thing in the mustang community but for good reason. It looks great which is why I was considering getting a white s550 to do the black accents and also match my 2000 expedition that also has black accents done with plasti dip. The reason I went with orange was because it popped more and was different. There are so many white cars with black roofs and accents, it gets kinda played out and too common but orange with black accents is racecar :D

What I've found with Mustang verts is you have this big long front end (especially with the 2015's) and a really short trunk-deck.

I find the light bar gives a bit more balance as the eye moves to the rear of the car.

Never looked at it like that until now, and you're absolutely right too. Time to go looking around for one now :D. Thanks.

I understand white and black is common, I'm not an idiot. What I'm saying is, that he even copied the black and Shelby blue metallic accent stripes that I have on my stripe kit, not like I have a standard set of race stripes here

I didn't know 'copy cat car' was a thing lol. Maybe if this guy was asking you what you had done and then did it himself, that'd be different.

That's why you have to do something original so they can't just go out and buy the same parts. I'm sure someone might have thought you copied them after you posted pics of new parts when you may have never even seen their car.

I have generic mods so I'm sure someone will have the same. I have only seen my wheels on one other S550 though, and I copied him.

Welcome to a mass produced vehicle. I was going to do one of the many flavors of stripes like Bigworm offers, then I saw several other CO Mustangs in my area with them... so I went with bronze wheels and gloss black roof wrap. Considering the GT350 wing knockoff sold on the forums here as well.

Making a unique looking Mustang without going full bagged/blinged/SEMA-wannabe is going to be difficult. The guy that just did red bedliner on his whole car is a good example of how extreme you have to be to be different.

This is a downside - if you like being unique - to having a popular, high production car.

It can be fun having a car that's a little more exclusive - not talking expensive per se, just lower production - like the S2K I just sold. About 65K total in the US over the ~10 year production.

But I've also had Corvettes (built at what, like 15-20K a month?), and here in Florida, that's as common as a Camry :D So I did a few things to make it unique (including the color choice), but it was fun seeing other Vettes, talking to other owners, having a large, active online community for help, parts and whatnot.

If it bugs you, pull your stripes, do something different ... maybe pink stripes and a My Little Pony airbrush on the hood.

Side note: Florida is up in here :D

Like someone else mentioned, if you want to be unique, vinyl wrap ..........Tons of color choices from flats , metallics, matte pearl's, etc

Costs <$3k to be unique

Back in the day as kids you weren't cool unless you had a Huffy bicycle. All the kids wanted a Huffy to be in with the cool kids until they realized all their parents bought them the same Huffy bike for Christmas. Kids would outkast other bikers because they didn't have a Huffy. Then when they got a Huffy they were a poser. They'd deflate tires if someone modded their Huffy putting exhaust (cards on the spokes). Who the F that kid thinks he is!!!

Shortly after we got ours, I spotted an identical yellow pp eco in town. My first reaction? Awesome! ONE LESS CAMARO! hahahahha.
Seriously, doesn't bother me in the least. Which is why I'll copy something I like in a heartbeat.
