Is there any way to get a copy of the original build sheet?

When I purchased my car - prior to taking delivery - I asked the Sales Rep to retain any/all paperwork that was attached to, stuck to or left inside of the vehicle after it was taken off the transporter.

Needless to say - neither he nor the Service Dept. saved the build sheet. I've heard others say the build sheet was found inside of the car on the seat, in glovebox or in trunk.

Does anyone know if an Owner can get another copy of the original build sheet from Ford?

Nah, I think the OP is talking about the sheet that the factory uses to tell what options go on the car as it goes down the assembly line. In the '60s models, it is really common for restorers to find the build sheet stuck under the carpet of a barn find (an untouched original) when re-doing them. It adds to the collectors value in an all-original car ;) Fast forward to 2016, and I don't even know if the car still comes down the assembly line with one, or if that is all electronic now...

I asked ford that question and was told NO that the only thing I could get was a copy of the window sticker and had to go through the dealer for that and also had to pay for it

I find build sheets in a small percentage of our Mustangs, but I try to save them for the future buyer when I can. I found the build sheet in a GT California Special a couple days ago and put it in a safe place in the trunk so that our techs wouldn't throw it away during the PDI. Wish I would have found the build sheet for my '14 Mustang!

Mine came with the first sheet (what do all those random letters mean?) but not this one. Any way I could get this?
