This is sort of to be expected, the air has to go somewhere, when driving with the top up (yeah it's still cold in most parts) and the windows down, all the air rushes into the cabin and the rear window shakes like a crack baby.

Wondering if this is OK and I should quit worrying about it or something I should avoid (driving with top up and windows down)

Thanks!

I've got a 2012 convertible and I don't have this problem. Are the rear windows also down (assuming the S550 'vert has rear windows like the S197 does)?

Does it buffet at low speed, high speed or all speeds?

there are two questions coming to my mind

1. do other vert owners have the same prob?

2. is the top ok (free of wrinkles, tense, perfect fitted) when you look at it closely?

fit seems to be perfect

Didnt have the rear window down

the window moves back and forth like an audio speaker, not real bad, but noticeable

65 mph gusts are blowing into the cabin, it's probably ok, just want to see if other convertible owners notice the same behavior

I've owned two convertibles with glass rear windows by other manufacturers and never experienced anything like what you are describing. I'd get it checked.

I haven't driven with the windows down yet because it has been cold and rainy since I have gotten her. Tomorrow looks to be a sunny and warmer day so I will test it.

You know, the tops are now cloth. I wonder if they need to tighten-up a bit. Maybe they design in a bit of factory slack so they don't rip themselves apart when they go through some west/dry cycles. Pure speculation.
