Your right, not always first built- first out (but) something tells me that for a Vehicle to sit at the Plant 4 weeks after it was built is very suspicious. Something went wrong or QC had major issue(s).
Yes I would agree. Thankfully I am not at that point yet and am hoping I don't get there.

"Maggie" is IN Transit with and EDD of 1/4/2015 that's a Sunday so I figure at the Dealer (Loveland Ford) 1/5 or 1/3. Our two are probably on the same train. Looks like the weather is not going to be to bad either. :)
My EDD was this past Sunday and it arrived Saturday afternoon.

Pretty much have decided to abort what is turning into this 5 month nightmare. Kind of lost that "loving feeling" too much drama for me. Probably going to request a refund of my small deposit and let someone else have it when and (if) it ever arrives. Still going to purchase a S550 Base V6 Convertible but will now concentrate finding one within the State of Florida that is in Dealer Stock. If I can locate pretty much what I Ordered, I`ll simply use my X-Plan Pin# and drive it home. Its been fun keeping in touch with most of you over the past 4 months but, enough is enough. Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year. Cheers

Same to you man! With the limited amount of options on the V6s, I bet you'll be able to find something darn close if not exactly what you ordered. I would think V6 convertibles would be stocked very well in Florida! Sorry to see you go but I understand!

Heres a question about vehicle shipping logistics.

Ford has been doing this for a while now and something tells me they know what they're doing. (OK, OK its hopeful thinking)

If you can drive from Flat Rock MI to Miami FL in 25 hours, I assume (I know, I know) that the trains are loaded from point a to point b then unloaded and go by truck to their final destination within that trains region. Theres no reason to believe that it will take more than 3-5 days for the car to tom from shipped to delivered.

Again, I am in the wishful thinking mode, I just wanted to put in my $.02 here, I am sorry that Phil1336 decided to end his suffering and decide to look for another V6 Vert. To you I wish all the luck, you may find what your looking for, or you may wind up with your ordered car.

As long as you don't give up on Mustang!

I wonder if they are shipping only GT convertibles?

Have any V6 or EB verts been delivered ?

One more thing, Has anybody gotten an EDD that was missed by more than a few days?

I read one person saying his car beat his EDD by 1 day, but I haven't seen any complaints that it was weeks late. Even the ones sitting at FRAP, whats their EDD ?

ITS SHIPPED!!!!! My Edd moved 4 days from 1/6 to 1/10.

The dealer called to advise that its a realistic date and they anticipate delivery around 1/10 or so.

Congratulations on your your Vehicle being shipped. I don`t know the logistics of Transit from Rail to Car Carrier to Dealer. I do know that a Vehicle that was conceived and Built between 11/17 and 11/25 that hasn`t been released yet is a "Red Flag"! 5 weeks to remain at the Plant after production is (not) normal. I`ll take my chances on a Mustang Convertible I find In Stock that arrived without a "history" then await a Car that (mysteriously) was held for a month and a half, counting the Holiday shut down, to finally arrive. Not superstitious but there is no reasonable explanation for such a delay. Happy Holidays and I hope you Car arrives sooner then later.

It depends on a lot of factors. The trains make multiple stops. At every stop they need to load/unload cargo. This consumes a lot more time compared to passengers getting on/off a train for example.

My office is across the street from several dealerships and I've observed that loading/unloading a truck of cars is at best a half day job.

All those factors that contribute to a short or long delay applies once the Vehicle is shipped and is in transit, correct? If a Vehicle is (held) at FRAP for 5 weeks after assembly, obviously the days it takes to arrives begins once it actually is released from the Plant, right?:frusty:

I`m in Palm Beach County but would drive out of the area if I located the right Vehicle. Want a Base V6 A/T Convert with Spoiler Delete and 051A Package with Spare Tire, not likely to find that Combo to quickly in Race Red, you think?
