Convertible Orders

Confirmed that my TY GT convertible was built 26-Nov and ETA of 12-Dec at the dealer. Not too fussed as will just put in storage but still excited to see "B1" (anyone familiar with the Aussie kids' TV show "Bananas in Pyjamas" will understand).

Hope it arrives on time. I have checked on verts for 2 weeks and every single one I see is "at plant". Havent seen a single one in transit and have paid close attention to any and every carrier going by ( we're fairly close to FlatRock) and while i see lots of stangs ( and more and more the 50 LE ) have not seen a single vert on any trucks yet.

Sounds like that might indicate that rumors of Convertible Roof leak issues may in fact be true. I want my Car (yesterday) but I`d rather they do the fix at FRAP before they ship the problem to a local Dealer for the fix. Hope they are all being stored (indoors) just in case.

If there was a leak problem, we would know. It would be like a flaw in the iPhone.

I am hopeful that they are HOLDING convertibles so they have a good volume to ship and get them out to dealers so they all have one. They have a lot to balance with the demand of the S550.

Yep. Ford would at least notify dealers if there was a leak issue.

:gossip:EBP Vert ordered 100714, VIN 111114, window sticker 112414, confirmed build 120214 but still in production status. ETA 011615. We'll see.

Ditto. Got my VIN from Rachael. Does anyone know if any of the online systems are tracking Verts yet? Looks like late Jan build also. Now the real waiting begins....

COTUS still doesn't work for convertibles, at least not mine. You can track on ETIS, though, which is how I found out my car was built yesterday. The build date will show as some random numbers up until your actual build date, then once it is built it will show your build date . Mine didn't update ETIS until today, showing my build date as "04.12.2014", so there is a day lag in it, as expected! Have to have your VIN for ETIS...but it should work!

The build date will show as some random numbers up until your actual build date, then once it is built it will show your build date . Nice! You continually make me jealous! I wish I had been able to get early December Build date but for some reason (likely my dealer ordering a ton of stock) I got scheduled 12/15. Hopefully it can get out of the plant and shipped before Christmas but I am preparing myself for it to ship after New Year's.

Thanks! The VIN does show up in ETIS but with bogus numbers schedule date. Hopefully that will tick over soon. Couldn't get window sticker yet, but believe I read somewhere that is an option until actual schedule active.
