But the darn think looks like a professional race car paint job.
are race car paint jobs any good inside of 20 feet? No point is spending effort on something that is going to get bent and torn off on a regular basis...

Matt: I just meant that they look as good as a professional paint job without the track bumps and bruises. You know, like a car in a museum. :-)

'Sides, much to the chagrin of those who wanted a Snack Pack to RACE, I'm sorry to say that mine will never see a track. Sorry about that guys but I'm too old to be acting even more stupid than I already do. :-)

Thanks, Max and yes, I'm glad the wait is over but I can't help but think about the others just starting out or worse, those in Material Hold limbo. I know everyone will eventually have their cars, it just would be so much nicer if we could all get them a bit more quickly. :-)

DT: I had the same thought about Tom's shortened acronym. ;-)

Tom: I think Earl's nomenclature is POTTS or perhaps it's Ford's, I don't remember. :-) However, I sure use PEE OH ESS a lot in conversation though. <bigger grin>
I like "painted on stripes". Mine aren't "over the top".

POS it is then, Captain! <smile> They's purdy though, lemme tell ya no matter what acronym you use. <grinning>
I know, I know. I'm so happy for you. You have been a positive presence here through all your phases of the allocation and build cycle. Your avatars were a daily pick me up for the people like us all in the same boat. If it wasn't for you Kent, things would have been a lot more gloomy around here. You put a positive spin on an uncertain and often not fair situation.

Anywhoo, congrats again on your your long awaited 500. I bet she's a beauty.

That was a most thoughtful not to mention complimentary post, Tom...thank you very much. I realize I'm just a passer by forum-wise but as I said in another post, the friendships made to me are as much or more important than the car. Despite you being a from where you are and I the same, I've come to thoroughly enjoy your posts and I think we probably have a lot in common.

One thing I've tried in the not too distant past is to try and be ONLY positive in life, especially with one's mouth. I am happier and the people around me are as well hence the reason I try to be positive here on the forum. Negativity gets you nowhere, any how.

So, thank you again my friend..sincerely...and you be careful out there until you fly the firetruck arch last trip.

PS. The avatars were definitely as much therapy for me as you guys. <smile> One day, I'll put an image together of all of them and post a link. Hundreds...

You make it sound like you wont be a regular around here now that you have the car. I hope I'm wrong, you have become an integral part of this forum. You would be missed....

That vid was damn funny, Tom and you're right, that's about how I feel.

However, I think I can only answer one of your questions, i.e., no, I could not feel an edge and I checked multiple locations.

The only other one is, no, I don't think anything else came along for the $10k but what I got was well worth it. I'll know more about fit and finish after I get out there to wash and wax her in a couple hours.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if they laid down clear on the entire vehicle again. More likely, they just added it on top and then polished out the edges. But the darn think looks like a professional race car paint job.
Congrats on the swell ride.
