That’s funny. Made me smile.
I think I have decided to wait longer and hold out for a CFTP GT500.
I don’t want to get a base and then regret it.
Going to supercharge my 2017 5.0 in the mean time.
So tell me about the painted on stripes..... can you feel the transition? Ie) one of our members was at the Woodward dream cruise and he inspected a POS car close up. He said he could feel the paint to stripe transition. I figured it was maybe early prototype/testing/working out the kinks phase of production?
Also, did the extra 10K get you any other special treatment in terms of fit and finish? Gaps? Body panel alignment?
Did they re-clear coat the whole car after stripe paint?
Your thoughts?
Thanks!
P.S. this is probably how you are feeling right now except the car value is about what we are paying for stripes......
That vid was damn funny, Tom and you're right, that's about how I feel.
However, I think I can only answer one of your questions, i.e., no, I could not feel an edge and I checked multiple locations.
The only other one is, no, I don't think anything else came along for the $10k but what I got was well worth it. I'll know more about fit and finish after I get out there to wash and wax her in a couple hours.
Frankly, I'd be surprised if they laid down clear on the entire vehicle again. More likely, they just added it on top and then polished out the edges. But the darn think looks like a professional race car paint job.
