So I got a call from my dealership tonight to let me know a estimated delivery date - may 2016!
A few hrs later and a bottle of red .... Still not any happier with the news
Over a year wait between deposit and delivery is simply f$&{}# up!

I've just been tonight to my dealer showing. Cornered the Ford rep and this is what I got
209 dealers so display cars lhd convertible and lhd fastback split duties with triple yellow fastback in QLD, convertible currently in WA.
Orders now 2250 signed, Ford US giving Aus 200-300 cars per month from production, convertibles delayed 2 months and 77 day shipping time from US to Aus.
First cars arriving Oct.
Tri lights in front won't do drl duty but will be on with headlights. Drl will be in fog light assembly below bumper.
New brochure has small errors, wheel nut locks are standard, brochure wrong showing as option
No spare, just a can of gunk and compressor. Dealer option for space saver tyre will be available as 19" won't fit. Ford say average time between flat is 7 years in normal car and since Mustang not likely to be daily driver spare not worth it.
Lots more than order customers there tonight so talk to your dealer sales guy/girl to get an invite...

Interesting to see this comment.."the Tri lights will be on with the headlights". - By "Tri lights" I take it that this means the 3 LED bar lights in the headlight assembly.
If so this will be big news..
Everything else fits in with what I have been told too.

Hopefully that will be an easy mod as the 3 front bar lights look good on. Wonder why they did that? I can't see how that goes against ARD's

My guess is that the LED's can be seen from the side ie the angle from the front of the car as measured towards the back. The EU regulations probably say that it cant be more than something like 45 degrees of some other figure.
So they turned them off for all RHD cars.

Doubt that Australia is getting special LED's in the headlamps (that turn on with HID's). They're more likely to be just reflectors like all of Europe.

In reference to the two month delay on the convertible - due to supply of top. Does anyone know what this two month delay means to delivery dates. Ie. Will a car due for December be now due in February 2016 or will there be extra loading to wait time ? Cheers.

We will all have confirmation when the first car gets delivered in October, until then conjecture and informative guesses??? Will give us something to fill the void between now and delivery! [emoji3]

I received that email from Ford many weeks ago. A short time later I received the production number for my car. During this last week I dropped into my dealer and after looking up the appropriate site on his computer we found that my car was due into Queensland on the 21st November. Interestingly their demonstrator was due in on the same day. I have not received a VIN number or anything else yet. For what it's worth I placed my order in July of last year.
