Actually saw the car up close and personal last Friday . It really is better in the flesh !
Also saw the roush variant . Sounds amazing but the body kits are over stated .

I was ready to buy some Roush body kit parts until I realised they are nothing but expensive plastic, oh well saved me some money for other mods :clap2:

my sentiments indeed, make it go faster and then make it prettier, i wonder if we could get any of the US sponsors to supply the replacement parts from the US, i already have the replacement part numbers for the hood with all the scoops, scoop supports etc. tail lights with the control module, "GT" boot panel, headlights with the loom, the USDM DRL.

i wonder how many people will be driving around in an ecoboost with all the roush pretty parts? is it going to become the new lancer with ralliart wing/cyborg kit in 5 years or so?

Got the email from Ford Today! Finally after 6 months...at least now i know my order is in the systerm and they havent stuff up the order...Anyone received any email from Ford after that email?

It took ten months for my email to arrive...the mustang will be eligible to enter classic events by the time it gets here.....

Get a VIN. That's real confirmation of the 'estimated' delivery date.

I've got a stock number from my dealer and an ETA of late December (26th Dec!) but no email from Ford. I ordered early Dec '14.

I did see my email was written incorrectly on the original contract but the dealer says it's right in the system.

I really want the Ford email.

I was speaking with ford support because i had heard nothing since placing an order and thought there would have been a "welcome to ford" or something email. but nothing had come.
I actually had to get onto ford support on facebook (they were awesome btw) because my order had conveniently gotten "lost in the system" from the dealer, ford took copies of my contract and stuff and put me where i was supposed to be on the dealers order list and barreled up the dealer (apparently).
to quote the support person "something fishy going on here".

when i bought the last merc within 10 mins i had 2 emails to make an account for mercedes support, order tracking, questions about your new AMG, even down to person assigned to support and who is building it, and welcome and hope you enjoy.... blah blah blah. granted that was AMG but still something....anything would have been nice.

it really is a piss poor effort from ford in terms of communication.

Which dealer? And what was your eventual outcome? (Pm me if you don't want to name here) keen to see if our issues were related

hey mate, it was one of the sunshine ford dealerships on the gold coast, apparently ford corporate reviewed the dealer list of orders and the contracts as they had to confirm everybody was in their correct standing as to the date of their contract signing, mine was apparently "lost in the system" and submitted 6 weeks later than i signed the contract, sure i was still 2nd batch (i signed in june) but it really annoyed the hell out of me and i would have cancelled my order then and there if the car wasn't so sexual.
when i ordered i was told about the upcoming showing night of the mustang, i'll get an email closer to the date....NOTHING, then i see on their facebook page all the photo's of the night. again annoyed. i just want my damn car.
i'm not even getting it on finance, paying cash and offered to pay the balance then and there but no they just wanted the deposit. i did the same thing with the E63 AMG i had and they were jumping through hoops and offering me a courtesy car while waiting for the order (which was only 3 weeks wait from a pre-order).

anyway, rant over

I have a FB page, but don't use it. I tried searching Ford Australia on FB but just came to Wiki like page.
