The GT500's have a very open grill and never have problems.
Not picking on you, just saw a few of these comments in this thread.

The GT500's had an open grill because of cooling, its the only reason they did it, same for the super snake. I happen to know at least a couple folks with open grills that have replaced radiators here in Colorado. They weren't Mustangs but it doesn't matter.

I love the look but from the number of rocks my truck takes every year here I wouldnt do it, unless I can protect it some way.

Does affect cooling at all?

Thanks man, no it sits about anywhere from 1''-2'' away from the cooling parts so I had no increase in temps at all. I've had a few rocks and big bugs hit it with no issues whatsoever. It's holding up better than the paint on the front end lol (damn rock trucks have chipped my paint in two spots :frusty: )
