oh they are cut! Test drive conducted several times, turning clearance checked. No issues no scraping. It’s just the fact made it clean looking and not in air bags so don’t have to chop tons out of the fenders like they do.I hope you clearanced those original fenders? You didn't show any sheetmetal surgery in the pics.
look closely you will see the fenders and bumpers are cut.oh they are cut! Test drive conducted several times, turning clearance checked. No issues no scraping. It’s just the fact made it clean looking and not in air bags so don’t have to chop tons out of the fenders like they do.
ahh, yeah about 1" evenly around. I'm used to looking at SCAT's with a good 2-3" tall section above the wheel center being chopped out but the rest left alone.look closely you will see the fenders and bumpers are cut.
Really impressive/amazing job ! Cool way of making it your car and one that stands out !Some photos during lunch and at the dealership getting touch up paint ordered
Funny 2 years ago I emailed them with the idea to bring the mach 1 back and was sending them my ideas and tagging them on my build. got no responses other than some IG likes early on. then nothing and then saw their renderings of the final product looked similar to my older designs. I wish they would have gotten with me and were were able to desitogether it would have been great experience. I prefer what i built as far as looks goes over what they have. Most do too. I proud of my build and will continue to build on it and who knows there maybe a 7.3L or a 6.8l or older school 428 dropped into the car down the line.I just read thru 12 pages from start to finish ! An amazing journey and making it yours-did something similar with a C4 vette a decadeback but nothing this involved. your work here is just incredible. Definitely a lot of detail others might find useful to be sure , so thanks for sharing. IMO Ford should have taken some cues from your build !
i don't dislike what they have done, and i have no doubt in performance and handling it will excel , but, it just doesn't ring true as a Mach1 to me, I would rather have a Bullitt . I have a 2016 i am slowly making mine. Only had it a few weeks but it is a work i am enjoying. I Did the Ford Performance Stage 2 upgrade and suspension and wheel tire mods come next, have done some minor graphics to add a little color and a theme as it were.Funny 2 years ago I emailed them with the idea to bring the mach 1 back and was sending them my ideas and tagging them on my build. got no responses other than some IG likes early on. then nothing and then saw their renderings of the final product looked similar to my older designs. i’ll probably end up getting a used mach1 later down the line and hope to have a 70 and 04 in the stable but you are correct unlimited to what you can doKudos to you, OP, for going all out with this built and making it your own. You would have to kill me to do this to my car but it's one of the things I love about the Mustang platform...there are endless possibilities to customize.
