I guess people were ordering too many.
Gotta make sure "limited" quantity retains some semblance to the term. :)
Not likely. It comes down to inflation. Trillions and trillions of fiat dollars pumped into the economy.

Hehe, fair enough. I guess what happens to existing orders. Are they marked up or they are still respected as is?
Its been a while for me.

The key is it has to have been a "sold" order to a specific customer (not for general stock), and order accepted, before the price increase. The vehicle will come in, stickered and invoiced at the higher price. The dealer needs to submit a form (now online?), documenting the above (including proof that it was purchased by the original customer), and Ford will adjust the dealer's cost back down.

(yes, I know it's not in any way shape or form "limited" - just by the number of people "motivated" to buy it at the stated price. Hmm Camaro SS/1LE is still 47k. I guess "inflation" is only present in Dearborn)
The camaro inflation jumped big time when they went to the 6th gen. That coupled with it being ugly has caused lower sales. Being that they have been last in sales the entire run keeps them from upping the price too much more
